Nice looking buck hunterman! Hopefully you will get him this year and he will be even bigger . Hey, is that a homemade deer feeder? I am thinking about making a cheap one out of PVC pipe for this year. Gonna start looking at YouTube to get some directions. Do they work well? Thanks.

This is how I do mine except I don't use a top cap. Just a rock if I even do that... I also just spray paint mine black just to blend them in some.

I have found that if you have turkeys on your property it's best to use some type of feeder if the corn lays on the ground for any length of time. One molded piece of corn will kill a turkey. We have a few at times so we use feeders, I've also built a "cattle trough" to put in my "big buck" spot. I've been doing a lot of research and from what I've seen bigger bucks don't use tube feeders much! Supposedly, it's best to be on the ground for them. so I figure maybe a trough will work for the big bucks but protect what turkeys we have from eating molded corn. I use mainly corn and sugar beat crush in my hunting spots. Other feeders and mineral sites we use better grade stuff!

Makes sense I've never had one turkey on my corn pile in 2 years and I've put it out all year round across the road I see turkeys all the time but never on r side I didn't know turkeys could die from molded corn either that is nice to know thanks for the heads up

Hey also drill a few holes in the bottom cap to allow what moisture gets in your tube to escape.

They get some type of organism from it and it makes them sick! There was a university that done research on this... I'll find it and post it.

While we are waiting ever so patiently for 10/1, here’s my last buck (gun). I let everything walk the past 2 years waiting on something at least bigger than this or at least a 4yo. He was 2 or 3. I measured it and had it all written down somewhere but I’ve moved since then, 124 seems to ring a bell. Check out my sweet taxidermy skills on that squirrel! Lol I need another thumb tack I think [IMG]
