Team 26 - Mid South Monsters

I have 2 more grandsons and a grand daughter I will have in the woods in a few years to come. As long as I am capable you will not keep me and my family out of the woods. I wish people realized hunting is far more than just hunting. It builds character, makes memories, strengthens relationships, gives you self worth, not to mention the most obvious perk, it feeds your family the best possible food you can ask for. Plus so many things I haven't mentioned here as well.

 

The numbers may be down by the land is down even more. Even in my neighborhood, 20 houses have gone up in the last 15 years on farms that were once huntable. Now the same number of hunters are crammed into smaller lots and sharing space.

This is definitely a true statement I believe everywhere.

 

Finally the weather says 0% rain for tomorrow morning. I predict a lot bucks hit the ground tomorrow after this front moved through.

 

Hopefully we are in those statistics of bucks going down!!!!!

Statistics show the average age for a hunting license these days is around 50 yrs old. I have a 3 yr old and a 4 yr old. I sure hope they are still able to hunt when they get older.

 

Great photos Caleb. I think you’re doing a great job with your videos and are a good advocate for our sport.

 

I'll be out Friday morning. Friday evening I'm going to a high school playoff game. Saturday I'm hunting with the grandson in the morning and I'll be hunting in the evening.

Yeah, I'm hitting my stand in the morning I call the field stand. It's not in a field but it's by a little natural field in the woods and we've called it that for 25 years. Always one of my best November spots. Will be the first time in that stand this year.

 

Rain should quit here around 1am or so. Tomorrow should be rockin. I’ll be in the tree nice and early.

 

Are you off work awhile? I'm off til next Saturday night.

Yeah, I should have been off til the 14th but they are forcing me to work that weekend. Funny how we have a no force policy!

 

My app is calling for rain again all day long, 3rd day in a row. Gonna have to just get out and hunt anyways I think.

Yeah, mine looks ok too. It shows rain Friday night again but stopping in time for Saturday morning. Saturday evening looks good too.
