I carried one out years ago like that. Got blood inside my ear lol. Won’t do that again. Also too old for all that now.
Nope...we purposely keep the beer in it. Sometimes we even swear...we show it how it is in real life. The Breaking Point does it the same way and i have mad respect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He did it once years ago with a fawn and on a whim figured he would do it again, maybe a new tradition (after dark of course). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hope that didn’t come across the wrong way Caleb. I don’t think there is anything wrong at all with drinking beer. I guess it all depends on what your goal for putting out the videos is. Only reason I said that was because of the already negative stereotypes that are put on hunters for being all beer drinking hillbillies. Hunting license sales are down 30% in the last 10 years. I think a lot of that has to do with the stereotypes. I don’t see this being any different than cleaning up the deer for photos that are posted online and just fuel the fire for the anti hunters out there.
You midwest guys better get your waders out. It has been pouring in Arkansas since 3 am with several More hours to go. This garbage is headed you way. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
We have been getting rain since this morning. Sucks November is finally here and rain is forecasted for the next 3 days.
Here's a tidbit of information. There's a ranch in Ohio called Applecreek Whitetails. They have now posted all of their nocturnal bucks are on their feet in daytime hours. I would think that would also be the same for free roaming deer as well.
Honestly, I know this isn’t a popular opinion, but I think there is too many hunters for the available land these days. I honestly hate nothing more than a sloppy hunter who’s chasing the same deer as me, and DESPISE it. I can understand how my videos might piss of a “traditional” hunter but I assure you we have nothing but respect for the animal, and we always celebrate with a beer or three. We hunt the way we hunt and will continue to do so. I am an advocate of clean trophy pictures though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I partially do agree with what you are saying. Definitely a lot of sloppy hunters. As far as numbers though statistics don't lie. The number of licenses being sold drops every year. I think what hurts hunting most is the hunting industry itself. It sells hunting as an easy thing to do and shooting a monster buck is a piece of cake. People actually try it and find out it's actually very difficult and nearly impossible to kill a monster buck. The younger generation these days want everything easy and find if something is difficult it's just not worth doing. It's people like us normal everyday Joe's that need to push to keep hunting alive. Sure the tv shows and videos are fun to watch, but I really think they do more harm to hunting than it does good. I mean who wants to watch someone kill a 1 1/2 old 6 point? So they sell you what most of us can only dream of shooting. When your dreams can't become a reality you certainly lose interest especially if you are just a beginner.
In addition to you point is another factor that I do not think many are considering; baby boomers are aging out of hunting. To a lesser extent, generally speaking, this generation and subsequent generations, did not have as many kids as the generations before the boomers. We have sort of, unintentionally, been self-depriving the creation of new hunters. This combined with Shawn's points are why hunter numbers seem to be declining. It simply has not been passed down well from generation to generation, or to as many. You are doing a great job with your grandson @Shawn Clark!
