I noticed the moon setting at 9:42 am tomorrow. Also have had a few pics at 9:35am lately. I may give it a try if I can get in bed soon. Also have pics at 6:20am. May try to get there just after daylight so I can see.
Just going through trail cam pics again. That big ten was in there at 7:20am on the 22nd. Got to get to bed! Lol
I’m up! Not sure how but I am. Coffee ...check, scent free shower....check. Good luck this morning boys!
I’m up...forgot my main camera battery so I’m using the backup. Feels good out! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well I’m set up for the second time this morning. Got in early and then 30 min before daylight here comes the goose hunters driving out across the field with their brights on. Luckily I had another spot just down the road
Yeah I could hear deer walking around within 50yds before I got down. Who goose hunts anyway lol. They don’t even taste good.
I left. Got some things to do. Here is the only pic I got of that 6 going by. Not a very good pic though. Only deer I saw.
So here is the forecasted wind direction for the river bottom I scouted a couple of weeks ago. The areas that look like thick bedding areas are outlined in green. The wind is best for the stand sight on the east side and if I get into the marked tree, it is 40 yards to the river. However, I haven’t scouted this side as much. I am tempted to sit in the northern most spot on the west side of the river. I scouted this side better and know of several trails coming out of the bottom on this side of the river. So should I play it safe and hunt the east side or hunt the west? Wind is safer on the east but I think the chances are better of seeing a deer on the west side. Food sources are better on that side. It is public land so I have no problem pushing the limits. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
