I have found that the closer we are to a a full moon the earlier the evening activity starts up. It is a full moon tonight. Mid to late afternoon activity should pick up for the next few days.

Prime time guys!!!!! Any good sightings?

 

Ended up seeing another small buck at last light. Came right under the stand.

 

I saw nothing, wind was really bad on the ridge.

I know a lot of you guys look at deer cast. Do any of you use the moon guide? According to the moon guide basically the 26th through the 6th of November is going to be excellent hunting with a great chance to catch bucks in daylight hours.

 

I generally just check out when the moon will be rising or setting.

 

Last night we had 5 does, a two year old six and at last light we rattled in a 3 year old 8. Not a deer we wanted to take.

This morning I had 5 does come in downwind and not offer me a shot around 945-10.

Tonight I’m hunting my best plot for the first time this year.

Good luck. I think I may try the fresh cut corn field today if the dang goose hunters stay away.
