I too will be out this evening, got permission on some killer spots in the city yesterday. I walked 2 of them, lots of tracks. I marked up my OnX with good trees to set up in. The one tract has it all, the bottom is a swamp surrounded by a thicket. There’s a big field in the middle with nice dense woods around, and the entrance point is an oak flat. I walked up on a 120” 9 pt bedded. I’m pretty pumped to get in there and hunt. I saw no other boot tracks. Going in sat morning for the first sit. Good luck fellas.
I’m finally gonna go try out one of best rut stands today. Pretty sick of not seeing deer. I’ve been saving this spot and hopefully it will work out. I’ll be in an awesome pinch between two 50acre chunks of timber.
Looks like a killer spot! Good luck. Have you ever hunted that overgrown field/brush area to the left of where you marked ? That spot Catches my eye.
I’ll be out filming my buddy tonight. First sit together in a new setup we call the bucket stand. Been planning it all year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ll be in for 3, deer have been movin early. The last few sits I had deer come by while I was setting up.
Really high pressure here today Caleb. 30.39 right now. NW winds. Should see good movement today. Good luck! Y’all shooting does today?
Sae a ton of deer last night. One of my smaller bucks, a spike, and 7 does all came in to the corn. Waiting on my hitlisters to come into daylight. This is the smaller buck that came on. He will be great in a year or two Sent from my SM-G892A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

I used to have a hard time getting on bucks like that. Ive had to search for awhile for this piece of land. If im being honest, my dad is the only one that knows i hunt it. I keep it under tight wraps. 2 years agi, yeah that deer would've been dead. Sent from my SM-G892A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
On most public land in Arkansas that would be a 4 year old with that rack. We have a few pieces with better bucks that require a permit draw. Unfortunately, I did not draw any of those permits this year. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Came to the prop early andwas gonna Pull cards so I can check em in the stand and the Amish were there full fledge timbering!! I about s**t myself. The landowner of the farm said they weren’t taking the timber out till end of November. Sooo that changes everything for my local farm, I moved to the opposite side from where they are timbering and I’m on a ridge where I have taken the majority of Bucks killed on this farm, I have only hunted it in the mornings. There is a very nice rub line just below the ridge, it’s oaks and pocket brush. There’s a very thick hillside where I know they bed, winds perfect for them to come from the beds and feed into the oaks on the ridge. Time will tell, just have to adapt. I’ll prob come out over the weekend and pull all my cams and put them out in the city spots I recently got permission to.
Got to the base of my tree and looked out into the tree farm and saw a deers butt sticking out from behind one of the trees. Pretty sure it was a doe. They are moving early.
