I still have 6 or 7 bucks I know are on the 2 properties I haven't seen on my cams yet. Hoping to see them real soon.
I’ll be out in the morning. Hunting one of my best spots I been out of all year, I only slip in when the time is right usually around end of October. With the cold front that is here Tom should be perfect. Looks like we’re getting our first frost, it’s high pressure and the wind is gonna be good for it. It’s on a ridge top with oaks and bedding, I usually catch deer coming back to beds and the bucks search and scent check does on the downwind side of the ridge. I’ll keep y’all posted.
Well i got a sad story for yall. Right before dark tonight i heard a grunt across the creek behind me. I grunted back and a buck i recognized ran across to me. I was at full draw by the time he came out at 10 yards. Would have been a perfect morning here in Illinois. This whole make a living and provide for my family is getting in the way lol
I couldn’t break away from work mentally, my guys would just be standing around not getting work done and I have a job completion on Monday. But I got the ball rolling here on site and I’m getting away around 1 to hunt the afternoon.
