My daughter has been wanting to kill for some deer jerky, but it's been awhile since I have made some. What is your recipe?

I like teriyaki jerky. I simply marinade overnight in teriyaki sauce
Then slice it thin, add a little crushed red pepper and let it go.

Nice looking plot, I’ll be out this evening for a doe. Pissed at work, taking it to the treestand!

Unfortunately i will not be able to hunt until Monday evening, and even then i probably won’t shoot a doe because of the Packers game and I’m working a 24 the next day. I don’t think it’s cool enough to let the meat hang yet.

I'm heading out Thursday evening. I'm going to my stand that is located in the best acorn/beechnut trees on the property. I know my pictures have slowed down and I'm sure it's because they hit the acorns hard right now.

I'm hoping to catch lightning in a bottle as they say. In 2011 I hunted on Oct 11, the last day of a heat wave, it was 88. Next day it was about 30 degrees cooler. It's going to be a similar situation tomorrow, same date, same stand. That day I shot my biggest buck to date. Hoping it happens again!!!!!

Well I got rained out today before primetime. I’m taking Friday off to hunt the first day of the front that’s coming through. I’ll be in Ohio Friday, PA Saturday then back to Ohio Sunday. It’s my first trip out to hunt Ohio. If I have a N wind I’ll be able to hunt the stand I have set for a specific buck. I’m thinking with this front some good bucks are gonna be hittin the dirt. Good luck all!

Haha, I'm doing the same thing. I'm calling off Thursday night so I can be in the stand Friday morning. Unless of course I shoot the big boy Thursday evening.
