Right now its 64 here.

 

4 doe, all came right under my tree. I had to take the work van today, so I’m only shooting a buck. Really trying to avoid getting blood all through the van, will have my truck back tom tho. So it will be fair game, also I’m putting a hitch on the van for my deer Cart.

 

Just had an encounter with a little 4 point.

 

Shockingly I havnt seen a thing yet, curious as to what my cameras will show Saturday when I check them for elsewhere tonight.

Also had a spike come in after him.

 

Ended up seeing 3 bucks. One in the beans walking in and then a small 4 point and a big 6.

Yah hot as hell....deer cast not looking good still going to hunt in the morning

I am going to scout some areas that look like bedding on public ground. Hoping I find some good spots to hunt next month. I may get lucky and find a bedded deer to stalk.

 

Im gonna be hitting the stand both morning and evening tomorrow. Hopefully our rain doesnt keep them in their beds... just have to see. Deer cast is looking good here.

The deer cast for my area say poor to bad...
But still going to try never know.

I think with the weather heating up again these next few hunts will probably be my grandsons. Really want to try and at least get him a deer. The end of next week it looks like a big weather change, so I'll probably get out again then. I may do a Monday morning hunt since he will be in school. We will definitely be back out tomorrow evening.

 

Question for my team. Anyone ever had luck hunting in moderate rain? Tomorrow morning is looking rough and im contimplating toughin it out

I will hunt in rain as long as it's not a downpour. Spotty showers are great to hunt in and of course if you can be in your stand when there's a storm or hard rain, right when that stops is a great time to be in your stand.

 

Yes. As long as it’s not too hard. But like Shawn said, being there the minute it stops is key.

 

Right before a hard rain is good too. Fronts have deer moving.

Had crows chase off another bobcat. And somebody wasn't scented down good or moved cause I heard a deer blow way off in the distance.

Well as far as I know elk quota wasn't met which means they'll be another hunt at the end of the month. I was only able to do 2 out of the 5 days this time...it was really hot and humid...hopefully the end off the month will better. The count to start with was 12 bulls and 40 cow. Last I checked 15 bulls had been taken and 29 cows. Still have to check to see final count
