Looking good for the evening hunt!

 

I’m with ya brother. I’m ready for this evenings hunt. Should be a really good one for movement. I’ll be going back to my clover plot. I haven’t seen it since it was planted. Lol I hope it’s up.

 

Really hoping my grandson connects. There have been 2 nice 2 year olds, an 8 and a 9 that's been hitting the area everyday between 7 and 7:30, but I think we may see some early movement.

 

I’d say he has a great chance today.
I also think movement will be earlier. By the way. I watched a young buck full on chasing does two days ago on my evening hunt.

 

Yeah, I told my grandson we need to be in the stand about 4:30.

 

Sounds about right to me. That’s about when I’m gonna try and be in stand.

 

Ill be climbing up around 445 today i think, going to my best kill plot to try and whack a doe.

 

I wish I could get out and hunt during the week. I hate being a weekend warrior but it’s better then not at all, lol.

Sorry fellas been preoccupied with work and life. I’ll be out this evening too, going for a doe. At my one prop I saw a 160’s 9 point, deer was giant. Hoping he stays around! Good luck all!

 

I am planning on doing a in depth walk/still hunt of some public ground Saturday morning. I have hunted it a couple of times before but found the areas I tried were too close to parking and overrun with people. Hoping to get off the beaten trail and find some places that are more remote. I will have bow in hand in case I can spot and stalk a deer. From online maps, these areas are too remote for to want to hike in the dark with a tree stand on my back. Between family commitments and my elk hunt, I did not have time to walk it before season started.

 

I see you have deer cast too. Been hearing nothing but positive things about it.

 

Yeah it’s been pretty accurate so far.

 

Forgot my thermacell, I’m getting torn up!! DeerCast is pretty sweet even tho they said tonight would be poor haha. Saw a pile of deer in fields on the way to the farm.

Same here. We are in the stand as well.

 

Switched from great to good on deer cast, been up about an hour and a half and no action yet. Tucked away on a small food plot.

My goal is 50 points tonight.
