I always end up with at least a couple of mature deer I’d like to shoot so I figured I’d just give it a rest this year. It’s been kinda nice not worrying about batteries and having to check em. Hopefully it pays off.
I had places where I didn’t hang cams and hunted blind, I shot the first thing that got me excited. Turns out I got excited easily haha. Saw much larger deer on the prop and kicked myself, been running cams since. Not saying I now pass up all bucks except for the biggest one I have on cam, but it gives me more modivation to pass younger deer and sit longer and hold out. It’s been high 80’s all week i haven't been out hunting yet, rain is coming in overnight and dropping temps to a high of 60’s tom and Sunday. I’ll be out sat to hunt both AM and PM. Sunday I’m making the last trip to Ohio for stand tweaking and pulling cams .

I'm down in Florida and I just heard about the storm that rolled through Tuscarawas county. Dover football game is on for 8:45 now.
Well guys, I'm pretty active when it comes to pre season prep and scouting. Sometimes, probably too active, lol. So not being able to be doing things in my hunting spots is driving me crazy. At best I may be able to get back out there Monday evening, possibly Monday morning. Depending if we drive straight through on Sunday or stop for the night. Hoping you guys can provide me with some kill shots and stories real soon here!!!!!

I know we have several on the team that hunt Ohio but I can’t remember where everyone is hunting. My hunting partner can’t hunt opening weekend. Is there anyone close to Medina county (wadsworth) that would be willing to give me a hand if I kill something this weekend?

Been raining like crazy here since yesterday evening. I ran out and grabbed my card from behind my house. I have 4”-6” of water standing everywhere. Nothing to right home about on there. I’m like 3 hrs from you, sorry or I’d help ya out. No luck on a doe this past Saturday, saw multiple yearlings and does with fawns. I’m not into shooting them. I’ll get 50 on the board b4 too long. Ohio went well today. Got a few new bucks on cam. Nothing crazy, a lot of up and comers. More doe than I ever got in years past.
