It is amazing what some rain will do for a plot! I pulled cards last sunday and currently have plenty of little bucks and does running around. Keep waiting for some big boys to show themselves.
Checking my best plot today, and pulling some cards on that farm, been sitting over 3 weeks. Pretty excited. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here are some pics of the split G2 buck out of velvet. What would you guess his score is. I'm thinking around 130, give or take.
Dang he is pretty. He is one of those deer that will blow up if he makes it another year. He also could be a deer that would be hard to pass if in close!
Good lookin deer man. I love split g2's. Id agree with 130, maybe a little more but now much. Great genetics Sent from my SM-G892A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I agree with the split G2 buck being around 130. The question is, if you choose to pass him, how likely will it be he makes to next year? Are only person hunting this property? How likely is it that he lives exclusively on your property? Will the neighbors pass on him?
All great questions. My guess is half of the neighboring properties would let him walk. My problem is this piece of property is like 15 acres. It is a major travel corridor between bedding and food sources. So he probably stands about a 50/50 chance of making it.
And a zero % chance if you shoot him. The others are all just what if. I’d let him walk and hopefully he blows up next year.
All that yellow is dead and wilted, 75% of it will be rotten and dead in a few more days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Finally getting around to uploading my antlered doe I shot last year on our opening weekend. After research its hardhorned because it was a non reproductive deer who had the anatomy of a doe on the outside but enough testosterone on the inside that it went hard horned. Regardless it's probably my most unique kill. Sent from my SM-G955U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
