Holy smokes that took me some time to get caught up! You guys have been busy interacting and here I am having to read from page 1 to 23! lol I finally got out this past weekend and moved some stands, trimmed, and put out trail cameras. I feel like I am really behind this year but having a 3 yr old and a 7 month old will do that to you!
I am usually good for a doe for sure. The older I get the more picky I'm getting when it comes to bucks. I do have to share a picture from last year. Opening weekend of bow season and I thought I killed a good buck. After we drug the buck out of the woods and was going to gut it, we realized it was actually an antlered doe. So of course it had to be mounted. I'll dig up the pictures and post here in a bit. Sent from my SM-G955U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

I have three boys; 7, 6, and almost 1. Most of the time, I will probably take one of the two the older boys. they are both old enough to shoot their first deer so that will be a high priority this season. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
No worries I have 5 kids that range from 5-22 and 2 grandkids we caring for at the moment..I still haven't got to my elk camp cam Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I have 3 adult children and 4 grand kids. The oldest grand kid is 11 and I have really been working with him this year and he has been my big helper. He has missed 2 deer in the past few years and 2 big gobbler misses as well. I feel real confident this year will be his first year to connect.
My grand kids are 4 and 10 months. I'm trying to get my 12 yr old to learn to shoot but it's hard to compete with video games. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I don’t hunt mornings early very often. Blow a million deer out in the walk in. My clubs bow shoot is this Sunday, been practicing a good amount. Haven’t checked cams for awhile, hasn’t been much going on with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sounds like a lot of us are fathers with young families. Makes it hard to get out in the woods but I have found the last couple of years that has led to decreased pressure and better hunts when I go.
My son is 12 and daughter is 10. My son shot his first deer last year. I was probably more excited to recover that deer than anything I have shot in the past 10 years.
@Mr_BS How is your preseason scouting going? I have looked at Wattensaw WMA online. But I have not been there in person. Still interested in trying to meet up for a hunt at some point? I will be elk hunting opening weekend but might be available to meet for a hunt sometime in October.
Took the grandson out shooting with the crossbow. He pretty much hit bullseye every time. I think he might be ready. Here are his results from 20 yards with 4 arrows.
Has anyone heard anything from our last teammate? Do we get a different one if he doesn’t show up? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
finally got my clover planted today and 2 stands hung. 2 more to hang and I’m done. Bring on the rain!
