Well guys! Haven't seen a single deer. I'm about soaked, froze, and I'm done for the day. May try it again Tuesday evening.

 

Congrats that is really exciting!

 

Decided to not hunt today. I decided to go pull a stand and moved it to an uncut bean field. Hopefully the weather keeps those beans in for a while longer. Jumped a small buck while hanging the stand.

 

Anyone else out there this evening?

 

I think I'll be out again Tuesday evening, then possibly Friday and Saturday evenings. I'm debating about going out in gun season next week. Haven't gun hunted since 2003. I could always take the bow, but I just usually take that whole week off to refocus my strategy for the late season.

 

I’ll be out tomorrow evening.

 

Well realistically are we thinking we still have a shot to move up the leaderboard? How many are still out trying to put one on the ground with a bow? I know for me it slows down a lot as it gets colder and after shotgun season.

Also I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving!

 

For me. I’ll be out until end of season with the bow. Season ends first week of February so I have plenty of time.
Or until I kill a buck and another doe.

I will be out with a bow all season. I am still hopeful to kill one. I have seen deer on the piece of public I hunt every time I have been. Twice I have had a chance to draw. I just need them to stand still for a couple of more seconds. I am still mad that I missed that doe on the 12th due to my release breaking. I am confident I can at least get us a doe. I will be out once or twice over the weekend. I may be taking one or both of my son's out with me so I may be carrying the crossbow this weekend in case something presents a shot opportunity for them.

That rage did a number on her. She didn’t make it any more than 30yds.

 

Congrats on the doe!!!!! Was that your first doe this season. Hard to keep track of who has all got one.

 

I'll be out Friday evening and I'll hunt til the end of season with the bow.

 

Missed a doe this main LA. This evening and tomorrow will probably be my only times out with a rifle. Just s thanksgiving tradition with my dad.
