You guys have some great-looking spots. The Amish Farms I have don't have any 'plots' per say... The areas I'll be hunting will be around their crops though (most may be cut and stacked before season).

    Plots looking good fella's!

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend as I did and got plenty of overtime. :-)

With the season upon us I just wanted to remind everyone to make sure you take 2 pictures of your kill with you and the weapon in the picture. I would prefer for the hunters who must tag there kill to have at least one pictured with the tag on it so their is no questioning. If you have any issue uploading your pictures here feel free to email them to me at [email protected] and I can do this for you.

Good get them everyone! I'll be on sidelines for the first couple of weeks, but come October 5th, I'm ready!

Great looking plots guys. I have my camera on the new plot that I made the other day and am going to try something new. I am going to leave the camera on this small kill plot all season to document how the deer use it at various times. I really hope that my wife will kill some deer over it with her bow this year. If that happens, I will have a successful season. Good luck to everybody that gets to start soon. It will be the end of Sept. before I get a chance to get in a tree.

Had my camera on the food plot I was hunting last year and got a picture of the deer right before I shot it.

So after checking the cams this past weekend there weren't any pleasant surprises. Got a few that are hard antlered now but unfortunately they aren't quite old enough. It's year two on this property so we actually only have ONE of the 5 bucks that had potential from last year confirmed. Hopefully that's a good thing because those deer we didn't see until late October. If the same thing happens we should have a new crop of bucks move in over the next month....hopefully their all 4.5+ big boys!

OCT 5 CAN'T COME SOON ENOUGH!!!!!

I usually have the same thing happen to me. Right now I am getting pics mainly of 3.5s, with a couple I think might be 4.5, but not 100% sure. The big boys usually show up the last couple weeks of October anyways though. They do it every year, so I'm not too worried about it right now.
