Fellas, sorry to disappoint, but a branch got in between myself and some points this morning. Missed CLEAN on this guy. Really not feeling it right now.

 

Boy was it windy here today! I think the deer were hiding in caves somewhere

 

Yeah man ...saw one 6 point around 6:40am ....that wind was BRUTAL

I screwed up this morning. I had a shooter in some thick stuff about 40 yards, but he wouldn't come out bc the doe he was following caught me moving. She came in to 25 yards wide open, but he wasn't buying it. So, I'm back at it again. Sitting on the inside corner of the bean field where I saw the other 130ish 8 the other night. I need to get this done!

 

No Shots today... back at it tomorrow. I have to meet a student at 3pm so afternoon sit is out.

 

So I saw the 8 pointer again.....at 30 yards no less. Man o man, I just have something go wrong every time a shooter gets in range. The wind was just constantly swirling, and of course, it stops swirling and blows straight to him for 5 minutes straight once he got to 30 yards. I just needed him to move another 15 yards to my right and it would've been done. O well, try it again tomorrow.

 

Snake, that sucks. That happened to Ben/PA today. You're on them though!

Yeah I've been so close the last several days, just that Murphy's law has a death grip on me right now. I forgot to add, I got to see the old 7 pointer the other day. I'm most likely going to try for him tomorrow evening since the wind will be good for it.

 

Looks bigger than what he scored. You smoked him that's for sure.

 

Two bucks and a doe tonight. Bucks stayed out of range but that wind was a killer.

I let a buck I call little coathanger walk by at 10 yards this morning. That's the third time in the past 10 days I could've killed him. He's a 10 pt, approximately 130" or so. But I think he is 3.5. I don't know, he is awfully tempting though.
