Had my number one hitlist buck in on us yesterday morning couldnt get enough camera light to run one thru him. I know where hes at now just gotta play the cards right and catch him again, set up a tinks mock scrape with a camera where he popped out of and im hoping to get some great pics of him in the near future. I also videoed Mike pierce shoot a GIANT nanny last night, gotta say for the guys first hunt on film he was super pumped. great hunt, great footage, the best is ahead of us boys and girls.

Definitely. Heading out this afternoon. Rain has subsided, they should be on their feet.

Landowner says his property is better in the afternoon/evening as far as seeing deer. Well, I've seen 'em but they sure are being evasive. Think I'll try a morning sit soon. BTW - this is the first time I've ever hunted this property.

HA! Photo being upside down is pretty much how my hunting has been so far :busted:

Update from this past weekend: 2 young bucks and 7 does/fawns. Does were skittish. Came to full draw on a loan doe and the doe with the fawn busted faster than you can imagine. At I again this weekend.

Finally had some action last evening over my rye/clover and brassica plot. No shooters, but it was fun watching the spike, two fawns, and the basket 6 pointer. Sitting it out today, and maybe tomorrow, but will hit it hard again Saturday.

Headed to a new property again tomorrow afternoon, hunted it for the first time yesterday. Talk about going in blind I've never even walked it before. Beautiful woods and right against the old Bainbridge naval station that has been shut down for years and is flat out crawling with all sorts of critters.

Me too, this is the first year I haven't seen a bunch of young bucks in a long time. Next weekend is our 3day ML season so I will be hanging up the bow and taking the kids and the Omega out and see if the boys can get their first.

I went out and cut some shooting lanes on a stand and I will be at it later this afternoon.
I just hope I didn't ruin this being a small parcel.

Good luck everyone! Heading back out this evening as long as the rain holds off. They should be moving well after this little storm system moves through. Let's get some points on the board this weekend!

One forecast has the rain moving out my late afternoon, the other, not so much. Gonna play this one down to the wire.

How is everyone doing ? Haven't been on in a while, been busy at work and hunting. Made it out 3 nights this past week. Seen a couple bucks with there nose to the ground on a mission looking for something. Found a few new scrapes checking camera's yesterday and made a few mock scrapes as well. Looking like a cool down next week, will be in my stand. Good luck to evryone hunting this weekend.

Did a cam check on a new mock scrape after work. I was pleasantly surprised. I had a pic of a 7 pointer that I believe may be either 6.5 or 7.5. I have a shed of his from a couple years ago and always wondered what happened to this buck. The last I had seen of him was a picture I had from the season before I found his shed. And it was also on a scrape about 15 yards from where I got the recent pic. Even if its not him, it is definitely a mature buck I will kill if given the chance. He won't score very much but I would love to shoot him.

Here is a head shot of the buck. I had a few other pics and he has a pretty large body as well.

Just got a shower and am waiting on the wife to wake up so we can get in a stand. Hopefully she can seal the deal this morning and we can focus on finding her a buck to hunt.
