Sorry to hear that brother. Prayers sent to your family's way.

I'm not going to be able to make it out there on Saturday now. I am meeting a big time waterfowl guy about some calls I've made. Hopefully that goes very well. He's on TV often so I'm hoping to get in on some of that.

Sunday I'm planning on being in the tree I let a 120" buck pass last year. Hopefully he's much larger... and comes back.

Thanks for the prayers fellas. Unfortunately we lost Granny last night as well. Been a heck of a week. Good luck to you guys hitting the woods.

Good luck Crick and everyone else getting out this weekend. Nice cold front here, expect some decent movement.

I have no idea how I didn't realize that. They have completely different antlers. Top one has more mass and points. But both are great bucks

I'm in stand. Same one I was in September 27. If you recall I saw 9 deer that hunt. I've got trails to my immediate left, far left, directly in front, immediate right and far right. Should be a good hunt

Just put an arrow in a pretty decent one, looked perfect and think I saw him drop. Giving him some time to be safe. Fingers crossed

Wooohooo!!! Keep us posted and get 2 different pics!

I made it out this morning but didn't see a thing. I got in the stand late due to a road closure (haven't been in that spot for a year)

Well he laid right where I thought he went down. Tucked it right behind the shoulder and hit the opposite shoulder. Story: Went to public tonight but was running a bit late and when I got there at around 3:00 there were three vehicle parked on the property. Since I have private I decided to head back and hunt between a food plot and a bedding area. On the way in I kicked two does on the way in and kicked a fawn off the food plot. I decided to climb an oak since it still was holding it's leaves. I had my climber approximately 10 feet off the ground when I saw a deer headed towards me about 80 yards out. I glassed him and saw it was a good buck, then panic mode set it. Luckily he worked a scrape, then worked a rub for about 5 minutes, I was able to slip my climber around the tree to put the tree between myself and the deer. I then brought up my gear, pulled out my bow and sent everything else back to the ground. After working the rub he slipped through at approx. 38 yards and I put a perfect hit on him. He'll score a bit lower than I anticipated, but a solid deer none the less and one to be happy with.
