I can't wait!!! We're leaving after work to head to the cabin. It's about 35 minutes west of Cincy (in Indiana) and about 10 minutes north of the Ohio. My uncle said some big deer have shown up this year and saw a pretty good 8 the other morning with 5 does. I'm not expecting to make it into stand tonight, so most likely tomorrow morning will be my first sit of the year.

A cold front hit today. Finally a north wind and I can hunt my best stand tomorrow evening. Should be able to hunt in A.M, PM. Tomorrow and PM on Sunday and Monday.
Im wating for all the rain to stop. It has been raining hard here for the past week. Once it stops I will go out.
Struck out at the cabin. Didn't see a thing. I didn't get to hunt it real hard cause it was the girlfriend's bday, but I got some time in the stand at least. This weekend should really start to ramp up my deer hunting.
Well guys I have been covered in Deer but havent shot any yet. This is the third time I have had Bucks chasing Does already,,,,very weird for this early. Had a 100" 8 point and a 100" 7 point chasing Does this week end and a smaller Buck on the side lines. Was going to shoot a Doe but This one cream colored Doe pegs me every time. She aklways has me pinned and I cant move. moved stand Sunday morning 50 yards and higher, felt like I was out in open and to low.
Looks like my doe is not going to be accepted for submission. Tired to sneak in the two same pictures, my apologies. Rules are rules, Max, I assume I will need to go through you to get the entry pulled.
Picked up a new sight, truglo 4 pin wit .019 pins. I had been using the PSE .029 3 pin sight. Got some new arrows as well. Going to get it sighted in and see if the smaller pins help. It's been raining since Friday afternoon on and off, hope to get in the stand tomorrow evening. Edit: Just got a phone call that they just found my wife's grandmother, she passed away. Going to have to put the bow up and take care of family for a little while.
