Checked cams today. Few morning pics, mostly night action. Not too happy about hearing gunshots 3 of past 4 nights... Was hoping to sit tonight pending shoulder. Wanted to shoot before going out since it has been a while trying to heal. Took one shot. Perfect hit. Too sore to shoot more and wasn't gonna push it so waiting a few more days or more and Gonna see again. Glad to see one shot Woulda been all I needed, but didn't want to head out two weeks off of shooting. Good amount of scrapes and rubs popping up so hoping to see some more action soon. None for me I leave for Florida (Disney) tomorrow for family vacation but I will be back next Saturday and will hunt 6 days straight when I return! Things have been super slow this past week but I do have bucks showing up on cam at night!! Hopefully things stay slow til I get back!! Good luck to all of you guys this week!!
Sounds like an awesome vaca Lung Buster. Have fun. I went there twenty some years ago and hope to take the family someday. Good luck to everyone else too. Getting a feeling someone will be hitting again soon. I'm gonna try and get out again Saturday. This cold has got them moving some more and looks like it'll be cold for a while. Haven't checked cams in a few days but happened to look out from the garage at 3:00 yesterday and saw a fork or little 6 checking scrapes so hoping for some earlier movement for some of the good bucks. I'll be out with the recurve or longbow so my standards with those are definitely more open than with my compound. Well no luck on my all day sit yesterday. Saw pheasants, wood ducks, a ton of squirrels and a few does. I invited my buddy to come down and hunt with me and he had a shooter (10) at 60 yards at last light. Might have had a chance but then it started chasing does
Working here trying to wrap up combining and falls work. Hopefully I will get some time off in the near future as this working all the time is starting to suck. Tim
I hear ya! We finished combining on Tuesday night. Weening calves tomorrow morning then hopefully be able to get out a few times between tillage before slug starts on the 8th.

Saw a dozen deer last night, 3 of which were bucks. They were all in a freshly combined corn field of the neighbors so they never got very close.
You weren't kidding when you said some bone. Hell of a nice buck. Congrats again. I went out tonight. Was heading to a further stand and had to change plans cause there was a little 6 on the smaller plot leading to the deeper one. I figured I'd try some rattling and see how he responded. Didn't phase him either way. He trotted down the trail I needed to use so I changed plans and went to a closer stand. Wasn't surprised but nothing came by. Tomorrow getting an earlier start.
