I spent Saturday out at my lease checking camera's and fine tuning some of my stands. Im less than two weeks out from the opener here in Oklahoma. I'm looking forward to see how this season starts out.

Hey hooiser can you edit our names when we kill something and keep the total number of points at the bottom so we can easily see what our team score is

    Ex
    Lastoneout 50 pts
    Hooiser daddy 50 pts

    Team total 100 pts etc...

    Thanks Finny

OK I BLEW IT. Had that big 8 in the honey hole tonight. The one I have footage on in my youtube channel. He stayed in the back of the food plot. I have 32 min of footage. He came in with 2 smaller bucks and 2 does. Before that I had a 5 pointer a doe and 2 fawns in the plot. Back to the big 8. So at the 32 min mark he was just about to leave the plot for the field and the 2 other bucks finally stopped looking my way. Ranged him at 46 yards. I rushed the shot and he ducked. Most have missed by a foot. My buddy had him at 15 yards about 30 min before I saw him and couldn't get a shot. Only good thing that came out of it is 1. we know where he is bedding now and 2. the 2 bigger 10 pointers weren't with him tonight.

I got invited to hunt a piece of property near the Wisconsin Dells. Where the 2nd biggest registered Boone and Crockett buck was shot last year. Will be leaving tonight and coming back Sunday afternoon. Hope it's a great trip. If I don't come back on here, everyone have a good weekend and put some deer on the ground.

    Update:

Made it out the the new property tonight and hunted for the first time this season, it's crazy how much more I need to haul in now that I've started filming. Anyway, saw 2 bucks and 8 does over 4 hours. One buck was a fork that I got great footage of while the other was a lot bigger. He was about 60 yards away so I couldn't see much but from what I did he looked to be a shooter.

I'll be hunting this same property on sat and sun, so let's hope he finds himself within range at some point.

BTW-I've been working on the avatar trying to vectorize a picture of a buck mounting a doe and it's not going very well. I'll have time tomorrow night and the weekend to put something together.

Just went to check the trailcams and had a bobcat (I hope) scream behind me while I was downloading photos off of one of the cameras. The dang thing sounded more like a cougar's yowl though....should be an interesting season.
