Hey Lastoneout, congrats on the doe. I just bought some of the 100 grain Shuttle T Locks noticed you were shooting the 125's how do you like them? How was your blood trail?

Not going to shoot a doe in the AM but depending on the wind direction and property that I will be hunting in the PM. Possible doe Carnage. (Pun intended)

Washing a couple last minute thing. Then going to try to get to bed.:bash:

Morning was almost a total bust but then I saw this. 2011-09-17 08.10.52.jpg

Wind wasn't the best. There was only a couple stands for the wind. I sat in a stand we thought they weren't using to much as of yet. We were right. :( Should be a hot spot later on though.

Think you need a admin to do that.

Last night a buddy and I went to check out some MFL land. Bumped 3 deer going in Then didn't see anything else. The land looks really nice though. I think I can at least get a doe out of there. The only time I will be hunting it is when the wind sucks for the private land I hunt. Ryan (one of the other 3 guys who hunts on the private) Shot a doe last night. So that was cool. He used one of those rocket BH and there was almost zero blood good thing he put a nice shot on her. I didn't get out this morning because Ryan gave me his cold and was up all night blowing my nose. Hope to get over to the honey hole tonight if the wind does what I need it to.

Had this guy come in slow last night saw his rack coming down the trial bout 7 pm by time he was in my lanes I didn't have a light and ended up staying in the stand until about 930 waiting for him to leave.

So I spent the day today hanging stands and cutting lanes at a property I recently got permission to hunt. Today was the first day I had time to get it done, but my tags have been bought and I'm planning on hunting by the end of the week.

I have til Oct 1 before the season opens here. I don't plan on seeing much action until the rut gets closer. All the planted farmland within a couple miles is all corn this year. I have plenty of pics of small bucks and does, but not a single one of any of the big boys. Until the corn comes out or the rut starts up I believe I will be spending a lot of time communing with The Lord from a tree stand.
