I’m sure I’ll be getting out a few more times. Will probably shoot whatever gives me an opportunity, buck or doe. Either way my season would be over.

Sorry I have been absent on here. Been a crazy last 19 days for me. I was able to take some extended period of time off from work to bowhunt and gun hunt my properties here in Wisconsin. I passed a beautiful up and comer 10 one piece (got shot gun :( ). Also, had a hit list buck come by just to see that he had broke off almost everything on his left side. He probably would have been in the 140s. Not only did he come by once that night, but twice... ugh! As season progressed I went to another property where we had a couple hit list bucks on cam, but were waiting for a 160-170 ten to show back up who usually comes around mid November. Go figure after 5 days of hunting on that property he showed up the day after we left. However, the days we were up there I did end up shooting one of our hitlist bucks (mature ten maybe around 120 inches), but hit him not where I wanted. We tracked about 300 yds, but lost blood thanks to a snow storm. Fast forward, and gun season came here and I was able to shoot a big ol' doe (aged her at 5.5+), but since no shooters were around that property I went up to my other land this Saturday, and got sweet redemption on the buck I wounded with the bow. Took him at 260 yards with my 7mm mag. Glad to end the story on him, but wish I could have gotten him with the bow. Will be heading back there this weekend with my bow in hand to try for the big one.

thanks. It was a little bit of a **** show in my opinion. I was pretty shook up over what happened. Wish I would of jumped out of tree quicker but I thought he was dead. Really wish I Would of made a better shot. HAve worked my ass off all summer on shot sequence chance releases, anchor point and form. I have been shooting really well out to 80 yards. The problem I have been having now is with string pressure on my face with new anchor point. when I have to much pressure it makes me shoot right. Like 6 to 18 inches depending on distance and is worse with broadheads. I had my arm caught up in go pro mount and couldnt get it strait back and in line with body. I didnt think it would matter but it caused me to have to lean my head into string and make yet another bad shot. Bout ready to go to X bow and give up.

Hey guys! I plan to get back out there this Saturday. Hopefully connect on a doe and get done meat on the freezer and add 50 pts. I still have a buck tag to burn as well but as you know things get tough after rifle season and in December. I will say I've seen some of the best rutting activity on Dec 10th in the past. Those bucks really go wild chasing those yearling does.

Got it done this morning guys. My season is officially over! It was a great year with my biggest bow kill to date and to slam this doe this morning. It's amazing some years you hunt so hard to no prevail and then this year I sat maybe 15 times with two bow kills. Good luck out there guys! [IMG]

Been absent for a while, gun season came and I shot a doe with the old 870 at 80 yards and she ran to my buddy where he watched her bed down, while I was making my way over to him she get back up and he put her down, so that’s his deer. Extra 2 days of gun season comes in this weekend then it’s bow season until the first week of February.. I’ve been waterfowl hunting a lot recently because I bought a new shotgun for that, but I’m about ready to grab the bow and get back out there for a buck

[IMG][IMG] also had a new buck show up on camera before gun season, he probably got smoked and I haven’t been down to that property to check the camera but I’m planning on heading there this weekend.. at this point in the season I’m shooting him with my bow regardless of age.

I’ve been out a couple of times in the last month. Trying to get my son his 2nd deer. Just trying to get some venison in the freezer at this point. Season ends January 1st here.

Do you have another pic? Doesn't look like they will count what you posted on the score card.
