Made it back in the stand this morning, had what looked like a decent buck coming in then he started sniffing around and went right the the scrape I watched that little buck make last night, tore that thing up then went back to where he came from.. only action so far

It has been so hot in my neck of the woods I have not even tried to get out and hunt. It looks like it is going to cool down this weekend all the way down to the mid 80's. I am going to try and get out there and at least get a doe for the freezer and 50 points on the board.

Well fellas, I've been putting off getting in the tree because if the heat, but In giving it a whirl today. Climbed in to one of my quick trees because if I walk very far at all I'll be a sweaty nasty sucker. This spot, I can watch traffic drive by, but it's a spot that everybody does just that. Had some good pics here earlier in the year, so here's hoping

Good luck to you guys, let's see some trophy pics this weekend!

I won't be out today, got a wedding to go to. And the great MD law of no hunting on Sundays, so I won't be out at all this weekend.

Gonna get down about 10, so far it's been extremely uneventful. Only a handful of squirrels. Cheeseburger is calling my name pretty hard, then I'll get back in the stand about 330. Thinking about hitting a field that's usually pretty good for a doe and see if I cant get some meat down.
I won't be able to hunt tomorrow at all, wife is dragging me to a wedding. Oh the joy...

Well when I got out of the stand after my morning hunt I went and checked out that scrape that I watched 2 bucks hit within 2 sits, then was walking away and noticed another one 30 yards away, then another one 10 feet from that one.... noticed they were all in a straight line so I started investigating and ended up finding 8 scrapes fresh as can be from that morning all within 200 yards. I moved a stand onto the edge of a bean field where I found a heavy trail with a big fresh rub and scrape both 25 yards away... I now know what buck I saw yesterday morning and I am super excited about this spot. Next cold front with a north/east wind I will be in that stand hoping he does the same exact thing [IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Good luck archbunk!
I'm back in the tree now, not as heck, and I bumped a deer right by my tree, but the positive is there are chinkapin oak acorns all around me
