I got out Friday evening and only heard a deer blowing off in the distance. Found out 2 guys were dove hunting really close to me, so most likely they scared the deer. Had a nice buck walk by my house last night, still in full velvet. Would have shot him in a heart beat if I was hunting, but instead I just watched him for a hour from the window in my house! The acorn drop up here in Wisconsin is incredible this season... definitely won't be hunting my food plots this weekend. Will be hunting in between bedding and where the white oaks are raining down acorns!

Sorry guys haven’t been very active, that whole car flooding thing has had me very busy looking for a new vehicle.. wasn’t expecting to have to buy a new one so soon lol. Really sucks too.. haven’t been able to get all my stands taken care of and had to stop putting out corn and checking cameras, but I finally found the right truck and I’m picking it up today! What truck do you have? I ended up going with a ram 1500.. never owned a dodge before but the price and capability of the truck beat out everyone else. My dad still drives his 98 ram lol has like 215k miles on the ol girl and she starts up everyday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Opening season here in FL starts for me tomorrow. I have a bunch of does and a few scrub bucks on camera. The plan is to go ahead and take a doe this weekend. It is over 90 degrees here at this time so it is going to be a hot sit. Made it back from my Colorado Elk hunt without success. Had a great time and it is a awesome adventure. I did see 1 bull but did not have a shot. The mountain I was on got crowded by the end of my trip and I wasted a lot of time chasing a bugle that ended up being another hunter. I had several opportunities at some doe mule deer but I was looking for a buck. Good luck to everyone.
