    For awhile I was all about speed. I was able to use 1 pin out 40 yards! I was shooting a Bowtech destroyer 350 with a fairly light arrow, that thing would scream! But once I started getting a few larger bucks under my belt, I noticed I rarely would get a pass thru if I hit any bone at all. So I bought into all the hype about a heavy arrow and haven't looked back. The biggest down side is constantly buying broadheads because they bury a foot into the ground every time I shoot a deer! Haha

    That's a small price to pay!

    Well I just got a fun surprise. My kuiu icon pro 5200, was apparently very attractive to a mouse who decided to chew his happy little way through the bottom of the bag, while it was hanging at chest height above the floor. Not even sure how it managed that, but there goes a decent chunk of money in the trash. Didn't even have the decency to make a small hole, but instead decided to chew damn near a foot long stretch across the bottom. I truly despise rats and mice....

    That really does suck! I found a bunch of bird seed in my clothes this year, that means the mice have been in them. I hate those little things! Maybe you can send back the pack to Kuiu and see if they can repair it? Might be worth a shot.

    Just went and checked my camera guys and this stud is what I got. He comes in every day but only at night time. Anyone have any ideas on how to make him come in during the day time before October 1st?

    Your best chance is to find his bedding and hunt as close to it as you can. If you know where he is feeding, you may be able to setup on his path back to bedding in the morning. But most times you would need a reason for him to travel back to bedding late. For example after or before a cold front or if it rains all night and stops just before sun up. This will sometimes delay there return to bedding. It's all a chess game and ever deer acts different. Also sometimes a lone oak tree deep in cover can pull a buck out early in the evening.

    Ah brushy. I live in stilwell and work at cookson. Your practically my neighbor!

    That's a good buck. Around here it's tough with all the oaks and the topography. Good luck getting on it!

    Dang really. Yeah I live a mile away from brushy school and he’s a good one but I’ve had a lot bigger. But due to all the poaching that’s gone on in the last 20 years deer numbers have dropped way down!

    Yep ever hunt cookson?
    Really? I think every year that there are more deer and more mature bucks. Dont doubt theres some poaching in your area at all though sadly.

    My view for the rest of the week. And no, not in a tree. View from the back deck of a cabin in pigeon forge, TN. Beautiful view

    I was out that way for a human-bear workshop this spring. Couldn't believe how touristy the towns were, nor how beautiful the countryside. It's a neat place. I believe that the smokeys have the highest black bear density in the US. Not to surprising that you see one next to the cabin. People be feeding them and it perpetuates that bad behavior for sure

    Hey everyone! Glad to be on the team. This is my first year to be on a team, but ready to add to the point tally. A little about me;

    My name is Zach Haas and I am 30 years old. I live in SE Wisconsin, and hunt both the northern part of the state and also around where I live. I have 1 boy and another one baking in the wife's oven. I am an aquatic biologist for my full time job, and also do land management on the side for a few clients a year. I have been bowhunting since I was 12, and have been shooting a 2007 Bowtech Guardian for quite some time now (might be time to upgrade lol). Typically I hunt in a couple states a year, but couldn't draw Iowa this year so I am just in sconny for the year. However, I have a couple good ones I will be chasing this fall. One will be the buck I found the shed below from, the other buck in the trail cam pic (found his shed as well with a 12 inch G2), and have a couple others that just haven't shown up yet. I also have a couple of my last couple years of bucks I killed with the bow.

    Thanks for having me, and look forward to getting to know you guys!
