We finally have some cooler weather moving in this weekend and a forecast without rain since the season opened. I’m going out either Friday (85 degrees) or Saturday (65 degrees). Not deer related, but headed up North after work today! First sit of the year tomorrow, pretty excited! Hopefully can get an opportunity at a decent bear! This guy showed up on the 17th and has been hanging around since. Only have pics of him at night though so far. Although it would be nice to get a crack at him, I am not being too picky! This hunt has a lot of meaning to it and is for my grandfather! He is 94 and currently in the hospital and hasn't been doing too well as of late. He has been my best friend since the day I was born and he means the world to me. He is the one that gave me the drive and desire to start hunting when I got old enough to. Since my last hunt for bear where I darted one at 11 yards and wasn't able to recover it he's been telling me to bring him home a bear! Hopefully everything will come together, I will keep you guys posted! When I return I will only have a couple weeks until deer season starts and can't wait! Sat yesterday afternoon. Insane crazy hunt. Most deer I've seen in one 2 hour sit. All does and fawns with only 1 doe/fawns in range (obviously let them walk) but still great to have that much action.
