Sat in my rut stand this morning. A lot of does/fawns but all were out of range.

Will likely be out tonight sitting on the field edge hoping for a doe.

She only went 50 yards. Terrible shot with a good outcome. Wasnt as quartered as I thought so hit guts and femoral artery. Bled out quickly [IMG]

    Nice work Dan! Congrats!!!

Nothing too exciting for me today. Really heavy winds with some bad gusts, but roughed it out. Couple groups of does and this little guy.

    How’s everyone doing?

Crops are FINALLY being taken out here. Was so wet beginning of October everyone is behind. Hope to sit the field edge a few times in the coming days for a shot at a doe before hitting the rut spots hard next week.

Nice, should be good for you once they start harvesting! Ring that dinner bell!!! Good luck to you! I'm heading down to Georgia tomorrow, I'll be back next week and will start hunting again. Things should be nice and heated up by the time I get back.

Sitting here (red squiggle) tomorrow afternoon. Don’t have a stand in there but found a few big big rubs 2 weeks ago (first time I stepped foot in this south woods was 2 weeks ago). South wind. Corn in the west and north fields. Anything on the inside of the yellow is being pushed by pheasant hunters every weekend.

Gunna break out my grunt and maybe even rattle while I’m in there.

Sitting where I killed my doe on Sunday. The farmer just cut all the beans this afternoon and just saw my first deer of the night.

It’s been perfect here the past week and I’ve been stuck in the office. Hard deadlines this week and early next but I should have a solid week to hunt before leaving for Missouri to hunt the rut out there.

I have this week to get it done on a buck before rifle season opens this weekend. I will be in a tree with both my rifle and bow this weekend hunting at my brothers place. We go there every year for opener.

I hear that man! Between being super busy at work also (which is always the case come 4th quarter and as we near the year end) and going away last week to Georgia I'm losing my mind!!!
