Thanks, You as well! So far we have taken one 126" 8 point and a doe, this will be our third year owning the property.
Checking in from NE Oklahoma. Will be hunting some NE and some Western part of the state again this year.
Anyone on here a previous contest winner? My first year in the contest I shot a nice buck but it was for the "Gun Contest" unfortunately
Nope, my first year in the contest I contributed a doe and a nice buck. Second year a doe, nothing last year. Every team I've been on I think ranked in the top two to five I think.
I can be captain if we would like, I am on a computer 5 days a week so it should be easy for me to stay up to date with everyone. Not sure if we would like to do this but, last year our team had a group chat going and it was pretty cool seeing everyone's stands and setups during the season. Only need 4 more to check in including one more alt..
Just want to add, especially if you've never been in this contest...have fun! Shoot what makes you happy! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Just a simple layout of our property here in MI. The Blue #1 is a first year bean plot that I hope helps produce a doe during the early season, haven't had too much buck activity at this spot yet. Just SE of B1 we planted some white pines this year that will eventually provide some more protection and cover from the road. The Blue #2 treestand was put up my first year on the property, even before I planted food. Has always seemed like a good spot because I can see almost 1/2 mile North, there is a hillside directly in front of me in which they travel and, the plot is down in pretty heavy covered bowl. Blue #3 is a death trap built by my engineer father.....not much to say. It is built out of 2x4's and 2x6's sits about 15 feet in the air and has absolutely no cover around it. Last year my dad sat there and had a deer literally looking down on him from the hill above... I never wanted to put this stand up but, his land, his rules! Blue #4 is my number one spot, 1/2 mile from any road, bedding to the east and food sources every other direction. in 2014 I harvested my first buck from the property, he scored 126 3/4". 2015 had more deer action than the year before but I wasn't lucky enough to harvest another buck last year. Just a little about our hunting property and its success.
