You won't hear from me on this thread again until i have meat on the ground. We found 7 or 8 new scrapes on the property yesterday and this morning I had Speedlimit at 35 yards, but he wouldn't come out of the brush. Will be out this afternoon in a stand overlooking two scrapes and a heavily used trail coming out of two different bedding areas. Good luck to you all.

Went out last weekend but had no luck. The rut is coming in here, had four bucks killed between 5 people hunting with us Saturday. I'm having a rough season so far, my buddy has put 7 on the ground and i'm still looking for my first. Going back out friday and saturday, going to sit in the woods until I put something on the ground. The wind and rain has been pretty rough from hurricane sandy but its cleared up and will be rocking this weekend.

Well missed out on a 130-140 inch deer this afternoon. Sat all day and seen 2 small basket bucks not around 9, got winded by 1 because they came in directly upwind and behind me. Took a break at 11 and moved our stands and went for lunch. Got back in tree by 1, napped until about 3-330 ish, got cold around 430ish and decided to put my jacket on and get settled in for prime time, i was turned facing my tree and reaching to grab my bow off the hanger when i hear a twig snap, i turn and see a nice buck charging in, he spotted me right away, blew, and bolted. I felt like a jackass. Ill be back out again tomorrow, hopefully have better luck.

Went out on a last minute hunt tonight and got another doe. A guy up at the feed store wanted a deer for the freezer and I had seven out in the field and no shooter bucks in sight so I figured I get him one. Had a fun hunt.

    Congrats Z7.

Im on a new piece of public ground I've never hunted till this wk. Saw 5-6 smaller bucks andabout 15 doe the last two days. Had a decent buck trailing a doe and fawn at first light this am but not much actual chasing. Hopefully it heats up soon.

All done until late season in PA. Another crap season. Saw some small bucks including this morning, and lots of doe. Drew back on a coyote this morning, but he busted me. Will be out in two weeks with the boomstick. Keep at it guys.

Lost the blood trail, don't want to risk jumping him. Gonna wait till morning. Don't like doing it but don't see no other option. Just hope the meat will be good and the rain holds off for a bit.

He jumped and ran, turn a corner and I couldn't see him anymore. Tracked blood for 80 or so yds. Just got real spotty.
