I put my last stand up today in a spot that the cameras say will do good. I'm getting an average of 12 does passing the camera in the morning and 12 in the evening. Even though this spot isn't showing any buck movement now, wait until the last week in October and it will!

Final 5 days until our opener! About time. I'll be monitoring the weather this week to make my decision about opening morning, but it's exciting that we're finally here!

No, I blew out my shoulder in 2005 in a little military mishap. I can only draw 45 lbs and after 5 or 6 shots it gets more and more difficult. Probably becuase there is no cartledge in R shoulder.

Man that's rough. I can appreciate you havnt switched to crossbow. My father and another hunting buddy have due to injuries. Although my dads kodabow is fun to shoot and insanely accurate, it just doesn't compare to drawing one back.

I have a permanent crossbow license, but as long as I can draw my compound back and shoot accurately with it, I'm going to stay vertical.

Just busted a doe again behind our shop, not even 20 yds. in the woods off the parking lot...this piece of woods she's in is not 100 yds. Wide and maybe 1/4 mile long, I'm gonna walk back down again now to see what happens ...

Yep, I hunt my own property. That stand is only 12' off the ground, but you have deer approach from 360 degrees and have shots for about 235 of those degrees.

Got a call from my mom today to tell me my uncle was coming to visit next week. I said yea, thats not gonna be good for me. She asked why. I said, deer season opens monday, I got 3 days off planned, and I plan on being either behind a tree or in one from daylight till dark. I told her ill stop by in the evening after a hunt, but during the day I am MIA.

Season started here on the 15th, but I still haven't made it out and it doesn't look like I'll get out this weekend either. Looks like I'll get to hunt all weekend long though on the first and second weekends in October for sure. Been a little bummed about the situation, but it's still kind of warm here anyway and the season is long, so... Good luck fellas!

My father had a stand stolen from public land...has the guys on camera, hopefully I can tell who it is when I see the video. Said one was in camo and the other wasn't. Pretty ticked off, I have a stand there too.
