You got any pics of your SD card holder case. I can only find one that carries 4 up here. Kicks butt if you want to change more than 2 cams cause I can only carry 4 SD cards other than carrying a few extra cases. Something not bigger than a pack of smokes would be awesome, so it would fit into your pocket.

Thanks for the heads up on Pat & Tom. Been a few weeks for Tom to reply to my request. I actually thought him & Pat were heading to Kentucky for 2 weeks of January hunting!

This is the case you want: Pelican 0915 Memory Card Case
Holds 12 SD cards and will fit in your back pocket.

I use the cases mainly for storage and transport. Fits real nice on a 4 wheeler rack. If I am walking I will dump a few cams in a backpack. Thing about the case is it keeps them from getting all banged up. Cases are virtually bomb proof. If I have them in my truck for a period of time I will run a cable lock through it and afix it to the fram of my back seat.

I hear you loud and clear. What are your favorite accessories? Mounts, etc....

All the cases I buy are Pelican. They are awesome! Look at the 1500 series for cases for cameras. You should be able to get 6 cams in a 1520 if you place them on their side.

Stic-N-pic is my favorite mount, I also use a lot of various mounts by murphy metal art. I was into lock boxes until someone pealed one of mine open like a can of corn. I use python locks now. They can be cut off too but are cheaper than a lock box and padlock. The main thing is force them to make an extra trip for tools and make them work for it. I've found that Sony sd cards are just as reliable as the sandisk but much cheaper.

I'm gonna look into the pelican cases.

I've never used a bear/security box. I figured if they want it that bad they are going to get to it regardless. The python locks are what I have been using. Are you buying all your locks that are keyed the same? I didn't do this in the beginning and regretted it later.... They are a pain in the *** to cut through unless you have power tools. Unfortunately a cordless grinder with a cut off wheel zips right through them. Just started using stick-n-pics. Wish they were at a better price point. Like $25 instead of $40... Have you had any cams stolen running stick-n-pics yet?

Also... Are you locking the cam so they can't steal your cards / batteries?

You're dead on about stealing it if they want it. I've got combination locks on my lock boxes. I'm getting as many as possible keyed together on my python cables. I've got too many cams to have them all keyed the same. I've got 10 that are all different, I ran into a deal on ebay a while back , 9 bucks a piece for 10, 8 were used. I've got a bunch that aren't locked at all, got 8 keyed alike in the mail right now.

Haven't had a stic-n-pic cam stolen yet. I've found that they hide easier than mounting on a tree. I can stick it in some nasty brush where no one would walk through. I agree, the SNP's are pricey.

Never locked the cam shut but know of guys who do. I'm afraid if I did they'd bust the cam up when they break into it. Bummer everything is made of plastic these days.

I ordered my first MMS cam from Pat on Friday. I'll let ya know how this goes. I've got severe trespass issues. Prosecuted over a dozen guys this year already.

Been following the thread...so now to hijack. Jason did you order the pelican case? I looked at best buy last night and they had no clue what I was talking about. I see amazon may be the best bet.

Also are you using a python and a small lock on the camera itself?

I have two of them.. It works great as long as you have good signal. I thought about buying a fleet of them at one point but my signal is spotty in the areas I hunt most. Wish they had better signal strength. I can have 5 bars on my phone and will one get 2 or 3 on the cam. :( Didn't want to spend all that money on cams and then have to buy boosters at $45 a piece to use them and that's still iffy. Wish they made a CDMA (Verizon) camera.

The new share plans by AT&T has really made running a fleet of them a viable solution. Buy the cheapest share plan being you don't need data and text is unlimited. 300MB plan is $20 a month plus $10 per cam with up to 10 cameras.

I had been using the prepaid text messaging plans. Kind of a PITA if you let the prepaid plan go dormant during the off season as you have to take the cam back in and get new sims / phones all over again. I've had to do this twice now. :( I was using the pre-paid 1000 text message for $9.99 a month. There were times I was going over it. :(

Covert came out with a new antenna about a month ago that's smoking the old antenna. Might wanna ask Pat about it. I didn't buy it yet, I'm betting I don't need it at my location.

Are you referring to the Pelican SD card case? Yes, I have two. Get them on Amazon!

Amazon.com: Pelican 0915 Black SD Memory Card Protective Case Replaces 0910: Computers & Accessories

As far as the Python locks go I have been buying them off a guy on eBay. They are all keyed the same at my request. I was using cheap combination locks for the camera compartment. The kind that will allow you to change the combo. Worked ok until they get moisture in them. Going to go with something different... Thought about buying a bunch of those security locks that are on telephone and cable boxes. Just something to keep the honest thief out of it. After all the housing is plastic....

I am assuming its a booster antenna as well being you said you didn't buy it? :) The camera itself should get just as good if not better signal as my phone being that it has a external antenna. It doesn't and this irritates me. :)They need to work on this. After all it is a $300 camera. :)

I'm not sure if it's factory for next year or just a booster. I'm virgin to this mms stuff, I'll be lucky to get the darned thing setup.

Lasted outside for just under a couple hours. Windy and no deer.

Switching to the muzzleloader later this week. Got some deer patterned and I've seen a descent buck in the area. My dad has hunted there the past couple nights. Saw 20 plus deer tonight and one smaller buck.

How do you like the Special ops? is that the MP6 one or the other $350 cam. My mentor has 4 and wants 4 more, he emails me the pics during the day when he gets them via email. Pretty cool chit, but way to pricey for my needs, he's a quad so it serve his needs!

Amazon has them on right now for $108, instead of $189. That's the case by Pelican 1500 series

I've got two cams 12' up for surveillance. I don't really care for them that has myself, just do it to keep it out of obvious view of theives. The higher you go the further out the deer seem to be away. 15 feet away looks like 30 feet.
Thanks, that's a pretty good price.
