Going out to make one more Raxx site and hang another cam their that I won't check till October now seeing I'm so dang late getting my Raxx from Tom. I got it, that's the main thing, LOL. Then I'll shoot again trying to drop my pin another inch and my arrows should all touch one another in my groups. I'll be ready come Sept 4th. This dang signature thing is ticking me off also,LOL Funny how the stupidest thing like that will make ya bang your head against a wall and then we have starving people all over the world wondering where their going to get their next piece of food from !! Just makes ya wonder where our heads are screwed on at. Guys hanging stands ,be safe and wear a safety ahrness even if it's 12 feet off the ground. Your back will break at such a short distance as it will from 20 feet up,you owe it to your family, friends and who ever else cares about you!

I am going to be putting out a ground blind and refreshing a mineral site tomorrow. Also going to shoot for a while. Supposed to be 95 and windy tomorrow so we'll see how long I want to be out there in it.

When is opening day for everyone? For me it's Sept. 15, it's a Sunday so I'll be out early. My problem this year is we have four months of work on the books right now and I won't be able to get any time off during the week. I was in the woods nearly everyday last October. This year I'll have to settle for weekend warrior.

It's September 14th for me. I live and work 2 miles from my hunting ground so will be able to be in the stand by 445 on days I'm not farming after work; hopefully twice a week.

Well the bow is all on cue now I still need to get out one evening to put my last Raxx site in and hang my last TC. Shoulder is starting to feel strong again. I could actually draw my buddies Creed back @ 55lbs. I sure don't like the creep it has though! Spent 4 hours cutting the grass on the acreage where I hunt yesterday and decided not to check my cams I put out the week before, must be 20 acres of grass to cut. The things we do to get property to hunt on. I do this every weekend till Sept 15th when the oweners come back. Property has some dandy bucks on it, my #3 & 2 bucks call this home, High Tower & Tank both will go over 200 and a good double drop tine buck I call DoubleDx2 will score 170+ ,maybe more this year. Haven't seen him yet or Tank!

Pulled some cards today. Moved some camera's. Scouted and set cams on a new piece of property that looks good. Here's a pic of the best one so far in NY. Have cams out in ohio also just need to get there soon!!Keep forgetting to change date and time on this cam.

Well boys saturday I wanted to get out to a couple of my other properties to do a few final things but that didnt work out. Yesterday I spent most of my day at a archery shoot that the Rush tv show puts on.This was my second year doing this shoot and its always a a good time. They have a 30 target 3d course set up in the woods, pop up x factor, then a 15 target range where you got to shoot with there pro staff. Did all 3 shoots yesterday but tied for second in the bowhunter division but got knocked out of the tie so I went home empty handed . But all in all it was a good time and will keep going every year until they dont do it any more. Stoped by the lease on the way home to broadcast some more seed in one of are plots since there is a chance of rain for the next three days. Here is another one of are big and beast plots that we planted 4 weeks ago, coming along real good if you ask me. [IMG]

Pulled the camera from this plot and nothing to special this time just a couple young bucks. probably going to have to move the camera a little since im thinking they are coming through a little out of range for the camera.

Well boys, had a major setback in my offseason scouting this year. I went to the ER yesterday, I could barely walk and had a ton of abdominal pain. It was my appendix that was about to rupture.

Surgery went well and recovery is going well. I won't be able to lift more than 20 lbs for a couple weeks, so no shooting the bow. I also cant see myself hiking into some of the spots I hunt to hang stands or check cameras for a while. The end of September is going to vital for me, as it will probably be the next time I get to do those things.

Nice food plot. Boof....good luck on recovery. You'll be fine in a few weeks. Been through the appendix deal.

My season starts Oct 1st. Have a wedding the night before out of town. People really need to stop doing weddings in the fall. Going to put up a couple trail cams tonight. Been seeing too many pictures on here and from friends. Can't take it anymore.

Get well soon Boof, I've had a long list of problems lately myself. I'm however over most of them now. It's the wrong time of the year to have medical issues.
