She has lime confused with cocaine. She was snorting a fruit bowl at a time.

I've seen her 3 times this year. First time was at the end of last season! She is a old smart doe!

Going to sit in ground blind for first time. Thinking about using 3d target as decoy. Rattle and grunts. See what happens. Something new to try.

    Going out Tomorrow Night
Only sat once this year ,have four other stands that need to be tallied and sat in, this 45 acre bush holds a lot of does, I've counted 45 does grouped up in the snow a few times. Hopefully I can tag one. Shoud start to see better bucks up and about this weekend as the rutt aproaches and the chase faze slakens up.The big boys should be getting their harems by mid week next week and won't take any small bucks around with out a head butt. Getting the itch guys!!! Let's go Boneheads:hail: Were only a 140 buck of the pace for 1st!

This weekend I will be busting out my best stand for my first morning sit. I always leave my bedding area tree for the rut. Two years ago it paid off when I harvested a P&Y buck out of there just twenty minutes into the hunt. Last year was a wash because of EHD, so it never really got hunted.

Looking at the weather, there are no defined cold snaps or storms approaching for the weekend. It looks like this Thursday (after tomorrow's storm) and next Tuesday (a one day cold snap) will be the best days. Of course, I don't see myself getting a hunt in midweek.

Good luck everyone! The rut is coming! The rut is coming!

If any of you guys are interested, I can give you access to my Google Drive. My Drive has all of my trail camera pictures pretty organized. You can see the five new bucks that showed up in the last week. I would post them to here, but I get sick of doing the Photobucket dance for every picture.

Just message me your email address or post it on this thread and I can invite you to see the pictures.

Well finally got a decent wind to sit a spot we have been wanting to all year. Sitting in a big oak tree with a re big and beasty food plot in front of it. Looks over a big field half tilled up half winter wheat then another wood lot. Ended up seeing 5 bucks three does. Has a small 7 come into the decoy early. At about 930 looked over to the other wood lot about 500 yard away and noticed a good buck. Hit the grunt tube a few times and he was hooked on a rope coming for the decoy. At about 200 yards noticed it was slick.stand is set up perfect so both if us can film so I took the camera. He came in ears pinned back and puffed up started circling the decoy at 24 yards partner drew back and his elbow hit the tree and slick jumped into the woods. To make things worse he popped back out about half hour later a 100 yards away then went back into the woods. So close but what can you do.

coheley665! You need to be the hunter until you have a buck on the board! :P It's the littlest things that will turn a successful hunt into a almost successful hunt! Been there many of times! Keep after him!

Oh man coheley, that would have been awesome. Leave your partner and the camera at home! Good luck, sounds like you have this area figured out. Kudos for bringing him in like that!

Yeah it's a big bummer but that's hunting for ya got 12 days to get him and hopefully turkey foot. To make things better we climbed down at 12 went to the truck ate lunch checked a couple cams and a hour and half after we seen him he was on the complete north side of the farm working a mock scrape. Dang buck is taunting us . Been back in stand for about a hour now came back to the same spot to see how things go for the evening.

Good luck to those that hunting. Raining pretty good here again today. I believe we are under a tornado watch. 1986 was the last time we had a tornado in November. :)

Our stormy day came this afternoon. The deer are probably stretching their legs tonight after the nasty weather.
