    Congrats Turkish!

    I am in western South Dakota for the next two days. The weather is looking to be a little warmer than I would have liked. In this area I can shoot a doe, so the first chance I get at one will be exciting. This is public land hunting, so unpredictable nonetheless.

    Congrats Turkish. I have the next 4 days off hopefully I get a shot at something decent. Sitting at the cabin right now trying to decide where to sit. High winds today gusts up to 50 not sure how much hunting I'll get in today.

    Everything is packed ,just showered with unscented soap, grab my morning coffee on the way out and the winds are co-operating,temp is -2 with a high of +14. Chance of snow, but very little! .I'll sit till 1, then get down and head to my new funnel spot where I made some scraps last week and hang a stand then sit till the evening in it.

    I think I'm gonna try a new spot this afternoon. I shot a couple bucks out of this spot last year . Went back in to check it yesterday , and there us 3 rubs within 50 yards on trees the size of my thigh. There is also a cornfield about 30 yards behind me that has been cut within the past week. The only problem is , there's another stand a couple hundred yards away that may be cutting me off.

    Slow morning so far. Seen a small four pointer, a tote and some gobs strutting. Good chance I have the gobs on trail cam.

    Nothing this morning. Pulled video and got two new bucks on there. Cool bucks but not shooters. I'll load them sometime to share.

    Great white- hopefully u make it out soon.
    Windy all day today, seen a small 8 pushing two does this morning. Back in stand had a thunder storm roll over for about 45 min but clearing up now. Hopefully these deer will get up and move now. 2.5 hours left of legal time

    Didn't see a deer this morning and had two small bucks at 20 yards tonight. Wind was horrible gusts up to 50 today. Tomorrow is suppose to be a bit lighter and finally out of the west. So I'm heading in to where I have trail cam pics of three good bucks. The south winds have been keeping me out of there. Hopefully tomorrow's my day! Good luck

    Crap Day
    8:15 I see movement coming of the field. Get up and it's the cow Moose with her 2 big calfs. Coming right to me down to 55 yards and they turn left through dense bush:argue:. My luck, sat till 12 and walked over to where I see all the big bucks come from in a funnel to hang a stand. Al set up and in by 1pm. Long sit with nothing till 6:20 and then I hear heavy steps coming straight for me and it's the dang landowner, LMAO.
    He's looking all around because my backpack is hanging on the fence post that I had my tree steps in. Well he's looking up & down & all around then decides to open it and then I scared the crap out of him by saying hey, that's mine! The guys 6'6 and just about fell over with a heart attack . At least I got a laugh out of it and got to meet the property owner. Dang butt is not in shape for sitting all day yet! Back at it in the am for a morning sit. Good luck guys. Bucks are re hitting there scraps of old. I saw 11 on my walk over to my new stand placement

    Believe me Tony I would love to take a day to relax. Have limited time to get out and eats away at me if I don't go. Tues will be my last day to hunt archery in ny three more days to get it done. Then off to Ohio for a week.
