It's Friday for me, after a hospital visit in the morning it will be nothing but hunting til the sun goes down Sunday.

Ugh, it is killing me reading about other guys hunting and killing. One more test tomorrow morning and I am done for the week. After that it is hunting until Monday night.

 

Get those binos in the combine! You have a invaluable source of intel most of us never get!

 

A couple new bucks showed up this week that I have never seen. Rut is definitely bringing in some new players!

Sounds like to me the Chase is on for most of you's, wait 11 days from now and then it'll be go time. You might get lucky and see a good one but their resting up letting the little guys chase. Once the scent starts wafting the air the big boys will get up and kick some *** and take over! I need to put in another funnel stand that I found on the neibours land not far from me. Huge bedding area too. I've seen 3 of my big guys come from their,now I know why!!! I'll be sitting their for an all day sit soon.

Smaller bucks are chasing. Saw a decent 10 point chasing tonight across from my buddies place. Saw around 25-30 deer in his area. Went out to shoot my bow at his place and forgot my release. Just watched the deer in the binoculars.

We just added a bunch of points last night. How about you guys? I think Heckler is gonna need bigger pom poms.

My buddies are killing me with there reports, they keep seeing the big ones up and on there feet just cant get them to come in that last little bit. Tomorrow is calling for 30% chance of rain with winds 15-25 so will see how the deer act with the wind. From my experince with those winds they hold up pretty good and the does are real gittery, but it sounds like its that time of the year and things are ramping up so you never know what could happen.

 

Frenchy the total of those two deer will still be smaller then one of the bucks thats gonna be hitting the ground soon.

Yeah hes a really good guy, I got really lucky with this lease. so I make sure to give him and his dad a good holiday gift every year

Calling for 80% chance of snow on Sunday with a high of -1. Will be on a stand ,no doubt about that! Chance of rain in the afternoon, winds are perfect for my all day sit tomorrow ,I just got to stay out of my rutt stands for another week, then they'll be on their feet, getting pumped to do some all day sits. Good luck team mates and be safe ! Not sure if I'll arrow anything smaller than a 150 right now. I can hold of for 2 weeks yet.

Shot a very mature doe last night, so now the pressure of getting some meat is off. Going back out this morning and tomorrow. Time to focus in on getting a buck now!
