Hopefully he will make or mistake or you can lure him in in the next few weeks with some rattling or grunts! Ever talk to your neighbors? Can't hunt it? Are they hunters or do they let someone else hunt it?

I'd use the hunter term loosely. They're farmers that look to reduce the deer population as much as possible to keep crop yield as high as possible. They killed 13 deer in 9 days last year.

I tried tickling the antlers today and it didn't do a thing, a little early yet for full blown rattling. Grunting last week got his attention but he continued on the other direction anyway.

If they don't get a crack at him it sounds more then likely they could push him over to your side. :)

Here are the pictures of the 10 point I got at other farm. Probably 20 yards from the ground blind.

Down in sight is a great feeling. Morning is also nice to have time to work on deer.

I'm desperately trying to leave Chicago so I can get home in time to hunt tonight. I'm wound up tight right now and need to get in a tree and relax. Too much concrete for me. $90 in parking. Not for me.

You the man! Just a friendly reminder we need two pictures! See a lot of guys in the contest are still forgetting that as I am making the Top 10 graph. We don't need any DQs!

This puts us back in second place by my account with a few other teams hot on our heals. We would need a few more does down or an 130" buck to over take 1st place.

I hope to see another buck on the ground by Halloween!

    Nice Mark!

Didn't get in any deer hunting yesterday. The pheasants were hard to come by and it took us until sundown to flush up our limit. Next weekend I am going on a three day west river hunt. Hopefully some points come out of that trip.

Nice doe! Taking corn out around my best stand as I type. Set up dripper and camera there this morning. 40 degree high in forseeable future!

Thanks for the congrats. Just put her up on the scoreboard. Well this is how the hunt took place this morning. Drove to where I was going to hunt before light. Its at least a 1/2 mile walk to my stand. Like usual it was lightly raining and looking at the radar it was only going to get worse so I said the hell with it im not going in. Not to mention the walk back is through 5 foot tall grass/brush that just soaks ya. So I headed back to the cabin it wasn't raining to bad yet so I decided to sit behind the cabin til it got worse. Already light I got to my stand and was getting ready to climb in when I looked down the logging road and saw 5-6 deer heading towards me about 100 yards away. No chance of getting in the stand so I got my bow ready and stood there. They walked by me at 20 yards and I shot the big girl! Nice easy hunt four wheeler was right there no drag and I was drinking coffee and eating eggs and bacon when it started pouring rain!

Congrats mark gotta love those easy hunts when they happen.
Well here's the low down on the weekend. Sat the stand where slick has been using the mock scrape Friday and this morning and only seen a few does. Rained yesterday so didn't make it out and went duck hunting in the rain instead. Checked a couple more cameras and slick has showed up on every camera on the 600 acre property besides one in the last week. Tonight decides to sit are brassica food plot next to corn to see if maybe we can't catch up with him somewhere. In the hunter stand tonight so hopefully will have a little luck. Got a woodchuck down already tonight will that count for points?? :tu:
