Hows the newArrowhead Boots? Are they warm enough for early season frost? Hope you can get your nanny down! Be safe!

Well fellas I am still feeling pretty beat down from this last weekend. It literally consumes my every thought about where that deer is.

I will be out looking Friday and Saturday. I have a buddy watching the area in case vultures start to show up or crows are gathering. I contacted a member from the United Blood Trackers and told him the scenario. I doubt he thinks his dog will be of any help, but he hasn't got back to me yet.

Thanks for all the support. This has been quite a rollercoaster. It will take some sort of miracle for this story to end with a recovery.

Tried downloading tapatalk. Same issue as youngfart; cannot reply to threads. Will mess around with it later if I get time.

Will be going out tonight and hopefully leaving work early to get out even sooner. 45* right now.

Ok so this morning was still pretty slow yet. 2 does right after sun up and a 6 pointer a hour or so later. I see the temp for the tail end of next week is really going to drop off. I bet I start seeing more activity and maybe even some pre-rut action.

Love the Aerohead boots. I think the comfort range for me is about 40 degrees with a medium weight wool sock. I bought the 3.5 mm boot for early season. Your mileage may vary. I have bad circulation. I am honestly thinking about buying a second pair in the 7 mm for late season. Most comfortable rubber type boot I have had. I have always had a hell of a time getting rubber boots off. I have large ankles.

Heck- What muddy set up do you have. I was looking into the vantage stand then trying to decide on the climbing sticks or the hunter sticks

I own the Muddy Hunter stand, 5 20" sticks, and 3 32" hunter sticks. I have been packing three long and two short. I like the versatility of having a combination of the two with me. More often then not I'll use the last 20" stick for a "grab handle above my stand. Also nice to have a extra short in the mix for those tress that do something funky 3/4 up.

If I use 3 long and 2 short I am right around 21' to the top of the last stick. I'm 6' 3" so I really stretch them out this time of year. My buddy 5' 11", he some times hunts my stands struggles to reach each step. As it gets colder and I have more cloths I tend not to space them out as far. As I work my way up I'll have the gab 4-6 inches higher then my knee.

From what I understand, the newest version of Tapatalk sucks. I'm still on the old version because I was to lazy to update thank goodness.

If there was as many big bucks and unpressured state land like down there i would gladly do it. I could work in a nice new stand and leave it in one of your spots after im done hunting it for a week
