We will need to select a captain and a team name. Be thinking about one! We can wait a week or so to make the final selection so that the late arrivals can participate in that process as well!

    Checking in.

Been bowhunting for two years. This will be my third year. Shot 5 deer with bow so far. I've been pretty fortunate with a 130 first year and 157 last year. 3 does were great fun to shoot also.

I haven't been running cameras yet to let our hunting area remain untouched. We have some big deer in our area and a lot of new bucks show up around the rut. I have trouble staying out of area with cameras up. I'll be putting up a couple cameras mid Sept. A couple good deer from last year that I believe made it should be roaming around.

I'll be hunting as much as I can once season comes and I'm going to try to be somewhat picky on waiting for a nice buck. That can always change. Hoping to see a really old deer from last year with a drop tine. Probably wouldn't score great, but has a huge body and I didn't hear of anyone shooting him. I would shoot him in an instant.

Going out to Idaho on DIY elk hunt early September with bow and that is all I can think about.

My name is Justin. 32 years old. Live in NE Iowa.

Good luck to everyone this fall.

Referencing your signature. I've killed 5 deer with the T3's. They work well. I've heard great things about the killzones too though. Switched to trophy taker fixed broadhead because it is required in Idaho for elk.

Wow, happy to see such a wonderful set of prospects from my team.

    The basics:
    Ben
    Minnesota
    3rd year bowhunting
    18th year deer hunting
    31 years old
2 year old daughter and 4 year old son
    Season starts September 14th

I just moved this year and only hunt public land so I am in the process of trying to find the best spot of my area.

I wasn't, I'll do it if need be though. I'm sure we've got a couple of worthy candidates here.

I'm drawing a blank on a team name. :bash:

No 200"ers running around my neck of the woods. My target buck is roughly guessed at 155". The key for me will be to get him before the crops come out. He's bedding down in the neighbors corn and eating 3 to 4 days a week in my bean field. I put up a stand 25 yards from where I've seen him the most. I've also got a nice 8, 9 and 10 pointer running around and of course the wild card that shows up every year during the rut.

Hope you guys don't mind pics. I might be bombarding this thread with them from time to time. :tu:

Outstanding pics Mike. I wouldn't expect anything else from a Covert / Raxx prostaffer. Must be a all right guy if you have a in with Tom and Pat. ;) Alright, alright... strike that about Pat. Lol!

I am leaning towards The Bone Heads, except I propose it be shortened to Bone Heads. I can think of a awesome avatar but I am not so sure it would be "family" appropriate! :)

Great looking deer mike! Pretty jacked up about this team, and our chances. Going Saturday to move a couple sets and put a couple new ones up. As well as placing a couple trailcams out.

You need to let that 7x5 walk this year if you can. He's going to be a main frame 7x7 next year and should really put on the inches. Looks to be 4 1/2 or a really big 3 1/2, more like 4 1/2 though and would score close to 147 right now, your looking at a 170 incher next year. Best of luck with him.

I'd love to see what he'd turn into next year but also know the neighbors won't. They flat out have a slaughterfest every year and will shoot anything on four legs.
