She actually ran wounded two feet in front of the cam but with it mounted six feet off the ground it missed her.







Had planned on waiting til after the rut before I took my doe but the shot was too easy to pass up.

Yeah I'm kinda glad to get the doe out of the way. I pulled a card near where she fell today and caught the guy I'll be concentrating on from here on out.

Awesome deer fellas!

So the legend of this buck continues to grow. I got a daylight picture of him a couple days ago and then I got these pictures of him that show off his entire headgear. Amazing.

 

Kill him boof.

 

Can't wait to see our name at the top of the leader board come Monday.

It may be a little later then Monday before I can get the buck on the score board.. I am going to have the taxidermist score him this week. I just didn't know where to begin with all that stuff. He thinks he is low 150's..... We will see.....

In the mean time here is another angle from when I dropped him off at the taxi.. I don't think the first field pic really was a good presentation of his rack. What you guys think??? There is still some stuff hiding on the back side that really isn't visible.

 

He keeps getting bigger Heck, maybe you should wait til next month to score him.

 

I guess that's better then smaller! :P I am super pumped. It will be my first short haired deer mount! I can't wait to see on the muscle tone that gets worked in. I chose a brand new form for this year so it should be pretty cool.

 

Congrats guys on some great deer. Jason he looks bigger than 50's to me but Pat said Cole was not allowed to score him for you

I have been busy with honey-do projects around the house, so I have only been out for two night sits. My next big hunting opportunity will be the first weekend in October.

 

Just seen him at 125 yards headed the opposite direction. He had my attention. Called in the nice eight that was with him but the big boy didn't seem interested.

 

Good looking typical Mike, shooter for sure, now to just coax him in Huh! I'll be out tonight.
