***Team 24 - Boneheads***

Well guys, had a "fairly close" encounter tonight while on stand.

Recently put up a ground blind and hunted it tonight because the wind was too strong and in the wrong direction for my stand. It was about a half hour before legal shooting time ended when I looked up and saw a rack. I am overlooking a roughly 5 acre piece of grass that has a creek running along the southern edge of the grass. My stand is on the south side and the blind is on the north side in a little cluster of trees.

He never came out of the creek bottom but had him at 60 yards for a little while. I cannot wait to get a crack at him!

Nice 3 1/2 year old buck, should be a keeper in a few years or now ,good luck with him.Should score around 127 maybe.

I forgot to mention the first two pictures that I posted are videos. You get a better luck at the bucks. I'd say we got a lot of good lucking deer from everyone.

 

How do you like the big game camera?

 

Getting ready to head out mid afternoon for a evening sit.

 

Made a sit last night after work. Beautiful evening but no deer. Little early to be sitting in the food plot but wanted to hunt and was too windy for any of my stands.

 

Works pretty well. Don't have too much experience with other cameras though.

 

Good luck to those that are heading out this weekend. Big doe or big buck. Both are good.

 

My season opens next week but I still have some work to do. Not sure if I'll get out the first couple weeks, we'll see what the trail cameras tell me.

 

I forgot to tell you guys this earlier, but I am growing a mustache for this hunting season. If that doesn't bring success, I might give up the sport.
