I'm headed out this weekend to get me a javelina. I'm ready to be in a tree Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
I've been spending a little time every day shooting. My goal is to be completely comfortable with a 40 yard shot given the right circumstances. My mistake in the past is I just backed up to 40 and shot, never any further. So I've stepped back to 50 and 60 yards to make 40 seem like more of a reality. That's been going pretty well. Drilled the target 4 times at 45 yards last night. In all reality I doubt I ever have the shot presented since most areas I hunt the deer would come in no further than 30 yards. But it pays to practice regardless. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Yes it does help to practice out further. I've been shooting several challenges thru facebook over the summer. They give you actual shots that you may encounter during the hunting season. I got everything tuned an ready to go. Hope to send a grim reaper on its way soon Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Welcome Junky! That's a nice buck. We are on opposite ends of the great state of Ohio. I'm in southeast Ohio down by Marietta area. You talked about this being your first year in here. It's just my second. I'd encourage all team members to read the contest rules again before your season opener. Last year a couple guys forgot to take a second picture of the deer and the score didn't count. Or they forgot to show their bow in the picture. So read up and be prepared! ***Officail Rules & Contest Information*** https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?ur...&share_tid=89236&share_fid=26204&share_type=t Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
