Sat for about 4 hours this morning in the park with no sightings. They’re calling for rain this afternoon but hoping to get a sit in before it gets too bad.
Got about an hour in before the rain chased me this afternoon. This’ll be my last hunt until at least Nov 17 with work and a trip to Phoenix coming up. Keep at ‘em fellas! I’m living vicariously through you guys!
For me the bow has been hung up as our first archery season has closed and now rifle season opens up this weekend for the state. I'll bring the .308 back out for a day or two of chasing bucks but then it'll be back to the bow to hopefully keep our points rolling in! Rifle season has been a tradition for my family and I since I was 4/5 years old. Can't wait to get to camp this weekend!
Missouri's rifle season starts the 10th. I'm going with my bow. I haven't been up to my parents place for 10 years. We'll see how it goes! Sent from my SM-G930V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I am fixing on finally hitting the woods in the morning. I am in Kentucky and plan to hunt my dad's farm. It is baited big time with corn. Wish me luck gents. Need to do my part for the team. If it's brown, it's down!!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Saw a shooter 10 point this morning. He was coming right in towards me and got to about 30 yards but never gave me a shot. It would have been the biggest bow buck for me. Argg. I am back after them tonight though. Good luck to all who are out! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
It was pretty slow for me this morning. I'm back at our place and ready to go. Good Luck everyone! Sent from my SM-G930V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Saw a decent 8 point that I wanted to shoot but he stayed just out of range and never offered a shot. Then seen a little 6 and 3 doe but no Shot opportunity. What a fun day though!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
It was a really slow day for me. Rattled several times. The only productive time was when I thought I was going to break the antlers i was hitting them so hard. Brought in a basket rack 4-6. I left that place about 1 o'clock. Came home and ate lunch then hunted here at the house where I saw one doe and about 20 turkeys. Back at it in the morning.
