6 more days of bowhunting. Decided today that my last day on the job will be.....1/31/2019! After 30 years 5 months, it’s time to call it done and spend more time in the woods and mountains. I know this has nothing to do with the contest, but had to tell someone!!!
after 8hours of hunting doe came out at last light. Nap spitfire are nice first year using them, clear pass through both shoulders. She went 30yds. Got her hanging off the back of the Jeep going to take to butcher tomorrow get some hot dogs, summer sausage and snack sticks made. Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
Way to go fellas. Does dropping like flies; kinda wishing I hadn't killed both my deer in September . Not really, I have plenty of hunting left to do. The special tag I drew for the three day hunt on the Hagerman Wildlife Refuge got cancelled due to flooding. I will automatically get a tag next year so that's cool with me. JStephens congratulations on your retirement, that is pretty sweet. Austin is about 4 hours south of me but if you are passing through north Texas let me know. We're getting close to that magical time of the year although it is a little later down south where I'm at. Still lots of hunting to do and looking forward to seeing some buck pics from you guys. Keep at it and good luck.
Congrats jstephens61 sounds like you put in your time. Good luck on future endeavors Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
Ash dude way to seal the deal on the freezer queen! 50 more points! You have venison made into hot dogs? That must be awesome to try. Congrats!
I picked up another bonus antlerless license and some scrape scent in preparation for this weekend. Gonna swing by the park after work and freshen up a mock scrape by my stand site. The rut is right around the corner for us.
