Sorry I've been away this week guys. This is the one week a year that I "hide out". The Lineman's Rodeo is a big deal and I'm in the thick of it. It's over now so you'll have to get used to me talking all the time.

Got in bed at 12:45 this morning and up at 6:20. Too late to get up but I'm in the stand. Had 2 does just as soon as I got set down come in. Since this is my second set of the season I'm on more of a recon mission than a kill mission. Left the filming equipment all in the house. Walked 150 yds to the stand so here I am. Beautiful morning for being outside. Cloudy and light wind 48°. Perfect killing weather.
Congrats 802! Way to keep us moving!

802- you hunt a few different states right? Just curious what state the doe was from!

Vermont is the only state I have tags in for 2018. I have hunted turkeys/deer/bear in NH and CT a few times before with family and on some state land. As well as I film my brother over in NH sometimes as I'm not dropping the non-resident prices to hunt there with my limited schedule as I would want to invest my time wisely hunting there. Last evening the deer was in Vermont, a few hundred yards behind my house.

Nice! Man I wish I could hunt behind my house. I’m jealous of those that can!

I'm thankful for where I'm living for sure. Filled a handful of various tags within 200 yards of my place in the last couple years.

It is a dream come true. We have our own little slice of heaven here. We are able to farm part of it and have some areas for food plots.

You guys are fortunate! My closest spot is a little over 100 miles away :(. I did get permission this year to hunt an 11 acre spot but it has been under water for the past three weeks. I'm sure I'll need a tennis racquet to defend myself from mosquitoes if the water ever recedes enough to hunt it. I drove the hundred+ miles after church today to scent some mock scrapes I have on public land. Got in, scented the scrapes and noticed a stand 20 yards from my set up! UGH! I wanted to scream. That's public land hunting I guess; glad I picked up the lease but probably won't have much of it figured out until next year. Wish I could hunt closer. :) Get'em boys!

Hey fellas, sorry I haven’t been on much. Work is crazy as I’m sure it is for everyone else and on of my best friends is building a 1700 sqft cabin in south east Ohio on about 800 acres we can hunt. Here’s some progress on deer and the cabin were working on. Really gonna try to wack a doe this week. The one is a 180ish deer I’m thinkin. He’s a hoss

It’s 5:30 am and I’m sitting drinking coffee. My hunting spot for the morning is 5 miles down the road. It’s not a bad thing living in the sticks!

Good sit today a lot of critters out. Saw 2 doe and had a 4pt bed by me I don’t know how he snuck in there also saw a fox and a porcupine. Tomorrow looks to have potential with the cold front moving in mid 20s Thursday morning.

Any hunt is worth turning into a coyote hunt.
