Good luck this weekend guys! I will not be hunting but headed out to change cards on a camera that I have not checked yet. Ill let you know what I find on it. Last year I shot and could not find this deer. It was a sick feeling. Would have been my best with a bow. Not sure if he made it or not. Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums
Some unfortunate news with the camera. As I was walking up to it I could see that it was facing the ground. Hoping it had only happened recently but that was not the case. I only have pics up to a few days into September. The camera was on a screw in ball joint set up so I could get it higher in the tree. Kinda sucks but really doesn’t matter. I only have one stand to hunt at that property. It’s just cool knowing what could be in the area. I reset the camera and just strapped it to the tree this time from the ground. Set it to video mode. We will see what comes through! I did have two bucks in velvet though and they are both shooters for me. I will hopefully be out in the woods next Saturday afternoon. Looking forward to it! Thought it had quit raining enough days ago that flooding wouldn’t be a problem, but I was unable to cross a weir to get back to an area I had scouted. Ended up getting wet boots and back tracking. Set up in an area that I’ve never laid eyes on after walking through the area. Not ideal, but I’m up.
Only living thing I saw tonight was a coyote. He came under me at 25 yards to my right. I wasn’t able to slip my harness quick enough to loose an arrow. Fun night to be out there!
Between the heat, rain and mosquitoes it has been difficult to look for deer sign. I finally got a stand hung on the lease and it took forever. Hoping it will rain today to wash my scent and the blood from 1000 mosquito bites I probably dripped on my tree.
first two days are in the books with temps sticking around 50 degrees - sat all day Saturday seeing 1 tom at 11am work quickly by at 60 yards and then saw 5 doe work the same field right at last light 70 yards out but other than that quiet, long first day. today was a wet morning in the stand and saw no movement, watched some quick football back at the house and hiked back in for an evening sit. doe and fawn worked out into the field again at last light about 70 yards out. then another, bigger bodied deer, came out about 110 yards Out but couldn't see head at that point it was so dark. Give it another go in the morning, could play nice with this projected SE wind - no work for me tomorrow!
Going to be another warm humid one in the morning. Been doing most of my posting on live from the stand lately it’s been an eventful couple of sits. Still haven’t seen a buck yet. They got to be out there somewhere. Sent from my iPad using Bowhunting.com Forums

Awesome that you’re getting her involved. That’s what it’s all about 802! Hope she’s your lucky charm.
Well. No luck today y'all. Only saw 2 non-typical squirrels. Hoping to get out there on Thursday afternoon. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

What's the story fellas? Anybody hunting this weekend? I'll be out looking for a place to sit tomorrow evening hopefully. We got 3" of rain on Tuesday so getting around might be difficult. We'll see. Good luck everyone.
I will be out for my first sit on Saturday afternoon! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
