What the heck, we’re on page 2!
Too warm to hunt today and not looking much better the next few days.
Have to leave for Pittsburgh on Friday for a week. This work thing is getting in the way of hunting. May just have to retire.

Out this morning for until 930 then the storms rolled in. Lots of red squirrels today or just the same 3 or 4 over and over again. There were a lot of deer out last night on the way home from work in the fields feeding. The wind will be better for me if it stays true to NW like their saying but I won’t bank on it.

Opening morning is Saturday and it's calling for a low of 37 out! With the highs only reaching low 50s. Also, a projected 5-10mph SSE breeze which is the perfect wind to get in and hunt one of my more anticipated sets. Hope these stats remain the same and Saturday could play out real well.

Same thing here Foodplot, but I am getting antsy and want to make my second sit of the year soon. Especially after how productive my first sit was. It is looking like Friday is gonna work out for me with my schedule. But it is a high of 88 degrees :/

The heat...no joke. I was having morning sits of 36-40 degrees in Wyoming with highs in the 70's and it snowed 5" last Friday. It's gonna be 91 here tomorrow. :( I plan to hang a stand or two and a few trail cameras this Friday. Wish I would have gotten this lease 4 months ago...but it's still going to be fun. :) Get'em boys!

Made it out this morning bumped something on the way in. Had a doe come in at 830 on the high side of me at 10 yards wouldn’t take three more steps she got to where I walked in stopped and trotted off the way she came. Not sure if I will make it out tomorrow. Youth hunt is Friday through Sunday I will be taking my daughter if she wants to go. Good luck everyone.

Mornin'. It's a crap shoot with the weather forecast for this weekend. We have the Lineman's Rodeo next weekend so I'm busy all next week doing that. They are calling for enough rain to float a boat so we'll see how it goes. Hockey is getting started as well so.......................we'll see. Don't give up on me yet. I'll be there when it counts.

Same here, lots of rain but hoping to get out a few times this weekend if it holds out. Been thinking I might stalk a cornfield if it does end up being wet around here.

Well team, all week I had been planning to hunt today but decided against it. I hate to do that but it is just so hot and tons of mosquitoes everywhere. Skinning a deer in 91 degree weather and mosquitoes all over me does not sound fun. Trust me, it took everything I had to not go cause it is rare that I get a day to hunt due to my busy schedule. Oh well. I did get out there and put corn out and check my camera. Some nice deer in my corn y'all. Good luck to everyone who is out this weekend!

we just got hit with a frost advisory for our county tomorrow morning and it couldn't be better timing as opening morning of our archery deer season starts tomorrow! Headed up the mountain behind the house early, about 800/900 yards, to a stand I hung about a month back that splits some bedding and some ag fields and hopefully catch something cruising on the cool morning, with the projected SE winds this I feel will be my best set. Heavily traveled all September so we will see what tomorrow brings! FINALLY the season is here and it's a nice 42 degrees out right now.
