Agreed, incredibly low! Opel, can you get the word out to the taxidermists in your area? A deer that caliber will surly show up in a shop. Man, I hope you get some sort of resolution. The whole thing blows! I feel for you!
Have got the word to every taxidermist in 100 miles and every deer processor in the same distance, plus all my hunting friends, we will see, I dont get upset about much but this has me seeing red!!!
I dont blame you Darin! I hope you find him! Well guys I went out looking for another Doe this morning since I only get 1 Buck tag. Seen another shooter chasing a Doe, looked to be around 135" and a small forkie. All were about 50 yards out!
Got 2.5 days of hunting ahead of me and our corn is fresh chopped, meaning they got nowhere to hide now!!! Tell em I'm coming, and Hell's coming with me!!!!

Opel Sorry to hear about the deer ,that's totaly brutal but it happens. Had a fella come into our national Park up here in Alberta while were all camping and shoot the local Monster Elk that feeds out of your hand in front of the liquor store and cut the head off and left the country. Well today was the last bowhunt I will have before gun season starts. Luckily rules have changed and I can bowhunt during gun season but I don't know if I will. I am so frustrated right now and I may hang it up for the year. Late season is damn near impossible and I don't bait. We'll see how I feel but right now I am ready for gun season and excited to get my girlfriend a buck. it's the first time she's hunted in 6 years so it should be a fun time.
Good luck out there but don't give in. Ride it right to the last minute. That's all it takes is one minute. I can't recount the times I've been in the pits of despair thinking everything has come undone on a hunt. That's when it usually comes together for me... or I eat tag soup. That happens sometimes too.
I will be hunting with the bow come gun season but that is still 2 wks away. Sat after Thanksgiving. The Fri after is always good as the orange army is all over the woods scouting, sighting guns in at the last minute moving the deer around.. Just LMAO at the last minute so and so's.
