We do have buffalo here but you're right, my hide is from the Dakotas. Bummer. Guess I'll just have to keep doing it the hard way.

Sweet on the JD tactic! Just remember to take the collar off him before the photos. ;)

'Crick, I always knew you were Mr. Redneck GQ.

    Good luck with the fishing.

It might be another 3 weeks before I get out for deer again. The leaves are still thick on the alders and the full moon is confining their movement to night time. I've got a boat hunt around the island (or two) lined up for this fall so I'm going to concentrate on bears and goats from home on the road system.

Only thing I saw yesterday were a dead 8pt and 2 dead does. Couldn't tell how they expired. Oh yea, I did see a game warden who wrote me a warning for not wearing some orange while walking out after dark. New one on me. No gun seasons going on either.

Never heard of that before Rick  Well it was nothing but Doe's for me this weekend. I did see a Grey Fox this evening and was going to shoot him as the season is in now. He went through my lane at 30 but I couldnt get him to stop his fast walk. Didnt take the shot! 3 and a half more days of work then im on the long vacation. It will be time to shoot a Doe then its all Buck buisness .

I havent had much action at all this season. The corn is really messing me up. I hope they harvested it this weekend or early this week. It is suppose to be chilly this week and I want that corn gone so they walk by me! I will probably hunt tomorrow morning if I dont get waken up all night from customers calling and will be out Tuesday morning and night. I will also go out Wednesday and Thursday mornings and possibly Friday morning. Hopefully my luck will change!

10 lbs is pretty good cats thats about the only thing to do around here in the summer is catfish. Way to get youth involved my hats off to anyone that can get our youth into our more traditional hobbies.

Goodluck Crickster, I expect many texts.
I will only get a hunt or two this weekend, as I am going to Milwaukee for a concert (music is my 2nd love) but after that it's balls to the wall hunting.
Good luck everybody, let's start putting em down
