Keep at it Rick! I get to finally go out on Saturday and I am pumped! I probably wont shoot anything because I am sitting close to my wife trying to get her on her first deer ever. I've had several does come in and a small 8 point that I told her if she gets the chance to shoot it. The good thing is that I have yet to get a night picture at this spot. There are all moving around 6-7 pm which is perfect! I havent decided if I am going to try and get someone to take my hours Saturday morning or not. I work overnight so I will be exhausted!
Good News! The 70 lb. limbs went back on my Z28 slick as can be and she's all dialed out to 50. I'll take a couple at 60 tomorrow, shoot a few bare shafts to confirm the tune and be ready to go for deer this weekend and brown bear on the 15th!! I got a call today that gave me a line on a couple potential Booner goats for the Nov. 1st opener too! Rick, I don't think I know Jerry. Tough out those mosquitoes! The deer are out there with them every day.
That is great news. I will be shooting some alot tomorrow to make sure I am 100% ready for the opener Saturday. Wont go out in the morning because I work from home till 2pm but as soon as I am off I am hitting the woods!
Taking a buddy of mines 17 year old daughter bowhunting this year, she has taken several deer with a gun but this is her first year with a bow, I got her a mission menace about 2 months ago and she has been practicing every night. I told her I would put her in a ground blind, she cant hunt the first 2 weekends because she has dances at school. So I just planted her food plot in front of her ground blind yesterday, it is on the edge of a 8 acre clover field and I planted oats from the ground blind out 20 yards so she dont have to guess yardage, I told her if it is in the plot shoot!!! While I was out there tilling the ground to plant oats, out steps a 140" 8 pointer in the field, I told her and she is pumped, it is cool seeing a kid get excited about hunting..
